In this video they are using Peavy Vypyr valve amps on the 5150/6505 setting. Anything that models a 5150 or 6505 can get you a fairly close tone on a budget

I'll explain it as if it were tuned to E standard to make it a little easier. First he bends the 12th fret on the G up one whole step, then he plays the 10th fret on the high E. After that he does a pull-off on the 13th fret of B string to the 10th fret on the same string. He does this about 4 times. Does that make sense?

@95ApEx95 True but, with Shogun that showed Trivium's potential in riffs and solos but they said they couldn't make anything cuz they didn't have the same chemistry anymore. i wanna what they can write badass, like ascendancy and shogun, with nick. Hopefully the next album will be "OMFG!" worthy.

@o0HeafyMetal0o oh here we go with the immature comments...obviously u didnt get my hyperbole....what im complaining about is trivium is gradually sounding more and more like radio bands instead of say albums like shogun or even ember to inferno (ie something unique that you would not hear often or at all on the radio)...and of course im aware of their radio hostile music...iv been a fan for at least 5 yrs-ish

@on3n1ght3r666 I think they lost a lot with in waves, but this is just my opinion...I am not so convinced by in waves because with the crusade and shogun they had reached a high level of composition by creating stories and atmospheres and solos were really more difficult and less natural than ember to inferno and ascendancy..and now with in waves it feels like they returned to the teen age

@843andrew your opinion is immature. there are lots of good bands on the radio. just because trivium has a few songs on the radio doesnt mean theyve sold out. besides its not like its an easy thing for any band to get on the radio, trivium had to work theyre fucking ass off to accomplish it. besides, they still have more songs who are "radio hostile" than radio friendly.
