I own this with red micarta scales and grey G10 back-up scales. Your review and suggestions are spot-on. Yeah, what is interesting about the knife is that you look at the specs and watch a review, ya scratch your head and go "I don't get it? This knife does not look like anything special to me? Why are people raving about this knife?".... but once you have one in your 🤚hand✋...then you "GET" it. WOW! It’s a unique knife! It puts a smile on your face every time you pick it up...The initial surprise never goes away!

So true! It looks so underwhelming until you have one, and using it is great as well, the shape and thin blade make it incredibly useful, I would love to see and get some titanium scales for it, id probably find away to shell the cash out for some

Imo theres venev cbn stones, those are the most expensive or diamond plates, you can get 3 large ones for 100 or 3- 2×6 plates for 50

I know this review was done 3 yrs ago but I've lately been using and liking mine alot. I'm finding that the overall blade taper and steel choice work really well to combine good slicing, edge retention and surprisingly good blade strength. I love how slicey mine is and I'm prone to think the geometry in 20cv withva 16 degree angle is why it's so well rounded. The liner and backspacers like you say make the handle pretty darn durable. That said if Im putting any time into cutting something challenging I have to wear a pair of thin gloves. Bottom line: I know this is a well repected knife but I think its actually stronger then some would think.

had one, was incredibly disappointed with mine to the point I sold it. different strokes I suppose but I just dont get the hype on this one.

Its because your getting a full size lnife in such a thin compact package, lightweight, very useful shape, and nothing wrong stands out, made in the usa, for 200$ for an 8 inch knife its very compact and cuts extremely well

@@NeevesKnives thin doesn't really matter to me, and i think the whole super lightweight thing is fine and all, but i don't associate light weight with quality. Plus the one i had didn't have good action even after significant break in. It cut good but for what it is i have so many other knives that did it better.

@@NeevesKnives as an example, when I got mine it was the blade hq exclusive bone micarta one, had really bad detent squeak action was rough sharp edges on almost all sides of the scales, and tho i have seen them contour and fix some issues with this knife having experienced a knife so sub par finished it burned the bridge with me, especially at that time having discovered twosun, comparing the two it was easy to throw the atom out the window when comparing quality. got a kershaw bareknuckle in 20cv just as slicey and thin 100 dollars less still usa made

There thumb studs in my opinion is were this knife really shines I like the lip on the thumb studs also I like the thumb studs on the feldspari I just love I got my first kizer yesterday loving it in my pocket now

In my opinion, it’s just another liner lock thumb stud. It’s not anything special that just blows away any other knife. Idk if you have to handle it to get it

You definitely do because i thought the exact same thing, theres many liner lock knives but they got so many things right, and its such a thin knife thats tolerances are incredibly well done, its a lot of things but i promise i didnt get it either
