People need to remember only TORI was at Hollywood arts to become a pop star. Andre wanted to be a songwriter. Jade and Beck were becoming actors. Cat was becoming… something. And Robbie was there. All to say is, the show _did_ in fact establish Tori as THE one to sing. Everyone was given a decent amount of songs as well considering their main thing wasn’t singing, but it honestly makes sense Tori sang the most (also combined with the fact she was the MAIN CHARACTER for goodness sakes.

I always thought they each of the characters had their own "majors" Andre - songwriting, music production Jade - directing/producing, minor in acting Beck - film and theatre acting Cat - musical theatre, with a minor in hairstyling and makeup Robbie - stand-up comedy, with a minor in technical theatre Tori - vocal music, minor in acting Trina - I always thought her major was acting seeing as how she was able to put up her own musical, and act in Tori's play. I feel like she's trying to minor in vocal music, but after being turned down repeatedly, I think her minor is actually stuntwork or fight choreography/directing since she's seen practicing her fighting skills a lot throughout the show. Trina's the toughest one to pin-down, imo.

Hold on now, the Victorious music was EXCELLENT. The problem with Victorious was that they wanted only Victoria Justice to be successful, when the show is about a school for the arts. Hannah Montana was ONLY about Miley, there was no one to compare her to. High School Musical made Zac Efron very popular cuz Troy was relatable and just wanted to be himself. Victorious missed the mark on allowing Tori to be relatable. If they actively showed that Tori wasn’t as good as the others, but wanted to become more worthy as time went on, that would feel relatable to the kids, and Victoria Justice would’ve became super successful

More reasons to defend Tori against Jade. In season 1 she helped Jade with her play even though she had been really mean to her all semester. Also in season 1, Jade accuses Tori of attacking her and the whole school turns against her. She gets detention for a week and when Jade gets exposed for lying, Tori doesn’t even tell anyone and just accepts a punishment that she didn’t deserve. If things were reversed, the Internet would’ve ripped Tori to shreds but since it’s Jade, everything is all good.

Victorious will always be a great show for me because it is how I discovered Victoria Justice. I still say she was the best character on the show and have followed her career since the show premiered. For years, people have been saying and arguing that Ariana Grande was the biggest star on the show. Victoria Justice has starred in about 10 movies and a few different shows, including Victorious, Eye Candy, The Real Bros Of Simi Valley. Ariana's music was popular for some time after Victorious ended, but haven't heard any talk of it for a while. Victoria is still being cast in movies and shows. No doubt, Ariana was a popular singer. But Victoria Justice has remained a popular actress and still records music every so often as well.

from my point of view if victoria had signed with Disney instead of Nickelodeon by now she would objectively be one of the biggest celebrities in the world (like Taylor Swift for example), Disney has been able to launch celebrities of the highest level (both actors and singers: Jenna Ortega, Olivia Rodrigo, Dove Cameron, Sabrina Carpenter, Zendaya, etc;...) has even been able to launch celebrities who can't sing like Selena Gomez. Ariana Greenblatt also starred in "Stuck in the middle" and has now starred in the Barbie film, even other Disney actresses who perhaps haven't found success now will probably find it in 1/2/3 years. I feel sorry for Victoria, because she has the beauty, talent and charisma that it takes to achieve success, she is still young and I hope she reaches her goal

Can ppl please remember that there are different types of voices out there? Not everyone has the exact same sound or the exact same range. Singing high does not automatically=good singing. There's base, baritone, tenor, alto, mezzo, soprano. Being able to hit low notes is just as much of a skill/talent as being able to hit high notes. And within each of those ranges there's also different styles. There are many aspects to good/stylized vocal ability. Victoria's voice is very different from Ariana's or Liz's, in sound, style and range, but it's still good!

I think people also need to remember that Victoria Justice was 17-19 while filming Victorious and even younger while filming Zoey 101. Like her frontal lobe wasn't even fully formed, and the acting industry is also just really tough on young people. Eventhough she really never made a move while Jade and Beck were together nor when they broke up, just hung out, poor Tori was being called out and people saying she's a "back stabbing friend", yet rarely read any comments towards Beck. She just got too much hate. But when Jade was hating on her for no reason, she was seen at the "cool" one 😒(dont get me wrong, here and there, her character was cool). Also to point out, there was a time when Beck was about to kiss Tori, she backed up. She didn't feel right doing that to a friend. She said it herself. The entire premise of the show is that a normal teenage girl is discovered to be talented at something and is accepted into a colorful, kind of wacky, kind of unorthodox performing arts high school. The literal PILOT tells us that Tori is like the viewer’s self insert for Hollywood arts bc let’s be real, the majority of kids watching- especially the ones criticizing Tori/Victoria- are exactly like Tori’s character. To me, her voice actually was unique but just less trained than the others (who were literally Broadway stars before Victorious) and she is gorgeous. I remember thinking her cheekbones were out of this world and that’s before the show even referenced it as her defining facial feature in one episode. The hate for this character is unnecessary considering she’s a teenage girl and all the characters had equally annoying, messy, low moments

I think much of the hate came from the Ariana stans who complained about her not being able to sing more songs on the show. First of all, the show was called Victorious, which centered around her character, and second, if people felt it was unfair that Ariana Grande didn't get more opportunities to sing on the show, blame the producers. Third, they shouldn't be complaining that much, since she was able to get her own spinoff with Sam and Cat. These same stans said Jennette McCurdy had issues on the set with Ariana Grande because her music career was taking off, but as we found out last year Jennette had her own serious issues with her mother and her creepy producer.

To be honest, I never understood the Tori hate either, even though I was an Ariana Grande fan for a while. Even if Victoria Justice had assumptions about her taken out of context, she is still a human being and I think we ALL make mistakes. I genuinely don't care about her feuds with other people because most of us have never actually met her in person and don't know if we'd get along with her ourselves. Victorious ended up being Victorias biggest mistake. The hate she got from Ariana fans following the end of the show destroyed her career. What sucks is that Victoria was getting offered opportunities at Disney in 08-09. If anyone remembers, she had a small appearance on the Suite Life of Zack and Cody before Zoey 101. I think Victorias career trajectory would have been very different had she been on Disney as opposed to Nick. Victoria Justice has the beauty, charisma and talent to be a huge star and Nickelodeon fumbled it. Disney was able to make someone who can’t sing (Selena Gomez) an A-list pop star. Disney knows how to make stars. Their roster is huge. Britney, Justin, Christina, Miley, Ryan Gosling, Demi, Selena, Zendaya…and more recently, Olivia Rodrigo and Jenna Ortega. Nickelodeon just can’t make stars cause they don’t know how to manufacture a star or manage them. Granted, Victoria Justice is still young and can still make it big as an actor. Unfortunately, I think her music career is done. The music industry is a young persons game. The fact that she’s about to turn 31 and has yet release a debut album means that record labels may view her as too much of an “effort” to try to work towards launching a music career. If you look at almost every huge pop star, most had released a hit record by the time they were 21. Ageism is really bad in the music industry. But I think Victoria can revive her career with acting. I think Victoria should have followed the same path as Zendaya and focused more on acting.

But Nickelodeon promised Victoria the world…and it didn’t happen. They failed her and tossed her aside after the cancellation of Victorious. Victoria really wanted to be a pop star. Victorious was supposed to be the show that would launch her music career just like similar shows did for her peers (miley, selena, demi). The problem was that Nickelodeon doesn’t know how to manufacture or manage their stars like Disney does. Miranda Cosgrove was Nickelodeon’s first attempt at creating their first “music superstar” to rival the Disney girls. In 2008, ICarly was pulling in bigger viewership than Hannah Montana. So nickelodeon used Miranda’s popularity to try to create their “Miley”. But just as Miranda’s music career began to take off, they dropped her from their record label in 2012 after a bus accident…needless to say, nickelodeon doesn’t have the star making experience that Disney does and that’s why they failed Victoria.

It doesn’t help that Nickelodeon also made her big promises. In a 2011 ABC interview, Dan Schneider was quoted saying: “Victoria Justice is going to be one of the biggest stars on the planet within the next 5 years. I think pretty soon, the answer will be as obvious as the Jonas Brothers, Miley & Selena. The girl will be making $10M a movie.” If you’ve read Jennette McCurdy’s book, I have no doubt that Victoria probably felt the same way at some point. The same way Jennette felt Ariana stole her fame, Victoria had to have felt the same way. I do agree that she has probably moved past it now and is doing what makes her happy and I applaud her for that and wish her the best. But I can’t help but feel sympathy for her because your dreams don’t just go away, even if those dreams have been crushed.

When it comes to Tori the main issue with her is how the show used her at the expense of the other character's talents, she was always treated as being so much better, when she isn't much better than Jade or Cat, and the rest of the gang have other talents outside of singing, with Jade, Andre and Cat, they can sing while having other talent, Tori just has singing. However, taking this out of the equation it always baffled me the amount of hate Tori got (and still does) for being terrible, when les be for real here all of the main characters are terrible in their own right. The nicest one of the bunch (Andre) even had his share of jerkass moments. It NEVER made sense to me how Tori's wrongdoings were put out to everyone, yet excuse Jade who is arguably worse and has done worse than Tori. So, it's not okay for Tori to host a prom that was conveniently on the same day as Jade's play (which Tori had no idea until Jade confronted her about it directly) and even so like you said, that isn't her problem. Yet its justifiable for Jade to almost have Tori killed over a part in the school play? Or how about in the game show episode of Season 4 where she commits fraud in Tori's name, by pretending to be Tori? Like come on people, just because Jade is funnier or is better doesn't excuse the fact that she is also unstable, abusive, violently jealous and confrontational. I also feel the actions against Season 1 Tori are a bit much, like kissing Cat's boyfriend, Tori showed remorse for doing it and spends the last bit of the episode trying to make amends and restore her friendship with Cat, in fact it was Tori's idea Cat punch her in the nose as payback for kissing Daniel. Meanwhile Jade NEVER owns up to or apologizes for her actions against Tori, even when they start to get along. And Beck was SO much worse when it came to kissing Tori, and just to Jade in general, it always felt like he wanted any excuse to dump Jade because he was clearly into Tori. Not to mention throughout the show clearly let women fall for him despite knowing how Jade is and that he's dating her! He's also the one character who fits the label of being "plain" as a main character, because with Tori HER being plain was the point, in the first season of the show Tori herself constantly mentions how she feels plain compared to the rest of her friends, because the point was that she is like that, Beck was just there for fanservice and his own talent for acting was never explored, he was just a one note joke about how he looked! People just give the other characters a free pass simply because they prefer them over Tori, which that's not how that works! Look Tori is plain compared to her friends who stick out more, but that also doesn't mean they can't be wrong. I fact the writers went too far with the treatment of Tori as a lot of episodes from Seasons 3 and 4, have Tori Torture episodes. If you ask me, the one character who absolutely deserves hate is Robbie, he SOO much worse than Tori and is by far the most despicable member of the main cast and the fact he's given a pass over Tori boggles me. He is creepy, misogynistic and uses Rex as a means to get away with sexually harassing and objectifying girls. He admitted to Tori that he hides in her front yard and spies on her, he stalked Trina and kissed her without her consent (which is what we call sexual assault) and he had cardboard photographs of Cat and let’s not forget the “playing pirates” stuff (that has to be code for having sex considering Dan Schneider created this show). Who could forget when he almost killed Trina for turning down his advances by cutting her harness and causing her to fall from a height? He’s lucky Trina survived. He should have been suspended/expelled from Hollywood Arts or even incarcerated for what he did. Robbie is absolutely despicable. I don’t get how people hate on Tori for petty little things and mistakes but Robbie commits acts of stalking, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and even borderline attempted murder and no one hates him. He exposed his friends' secrets and made them laughing stocks in the entire school, and when they were stuck in Beck's RV he drank the last capful of water they had. And when Cat said that he let a bunch of little kids eat her in her dream he said "why shouldn't they eat you first?" Which implies that if they were actually in a situation where only one of them could survive, he would sacrifice Cat to save himself. He's a creepy pervert. People hate Rex but he's just a lifeless puppet. It's Robbie who says all those perverted things through him. He hits on Jade (one of best friends' girlfriend) through Rex all the time. He even asked her to kiss infront of Beck through Rex! And he stalks Tori and has cardboard cutouts of Cat that he made. Robbie is a creepy perv and I don’t know how he’s not in jail on sexual assault/harassment charges.

I think someone from iCarly was interviewed on some late night talk show who was asked about the Victorious cast since they shared the same lot. That person said they got along really well, and they characterized Victoria Justice as a great actress who could sing, and Ariana Grande as a great singer who could act.

For the episode "Tori goes platinum", I believe Tori got picked because she looked easily impressionable. Compared to Jade, Cat, Andre and Robbie, their audition tape all showed a facet of their personality, showing it would be less easy to shape them into the popstar they wanted. The rest of the episode, shows Tori changing into a person she's far from, proving that all the judges wanted was a pretty marionette who could sing. Jade was picked later on because she gave a good audition and showed distaste for Tori in front of the judges (if i remember correctly). At least, thats my take on the episode to why, apart from being the main character, she was picked. Absolutely loved the video, by the way 👏

All of the characters were weirdly written in the first season; very training wheels for lack of better words. I used to think they tried to make tori "special" until my 500th rewatch and then I realized I was just going with the status quo. Tori is a victim of unfortunate circumstances left and right, and it's honestly so funny. She's kind of the butt of the joke a lot of the times. I know a lot of people say it’s just because singing is Tori’s thing they didn’t sing but I’ll stand by my point; the school isn’t a singing school. Having all of the main cast only sing I think frames it as just that, and that other talents on why people are able to get in aren’t as noted or valued when all of the main cast just sing. Producing films, comedy, music production, dance, drawing, acting, etc are all art and ways people could enter the school so they need to showcase that level of diversity or else the meaning of the school becomes less. I also stand by as good of singers as the main cast as a whole are it would be a pretty boring episode of all we got was back to back singing “auditions” where while all of them are good we know this fact. It’d be a crutch of sorts and the apparent episode might not have as much dramatics or even hold the audience attention if it’s some weirdly spaced musical. Just because all of them can sing doesn’t me it’s good to always rely on singing as the character trait given for what the show is.

We know Andre can write and play music, we know Robbie has the whole puppet show with Rex, we know Jade wirtes and acts plays and we know Beck has acting aspirations. Kat was originally shown to be interested in makeup and special effects but as the seasons rolled put she got flanderized, hence why she was shown doing so many things (because she is quirky /s). Tori however has been consistently shown to focus mainly on her singing, hence why her specific audition was singing.

I was one of the minority who really like Tori and Victoria Justice and still like her to this day. Do not understand the hate and can never be convinced to hate her. I liked all the characters in the show. I’ve found that there’s a specific group of people who can never like the main character, will go out of their way to find faults in them and prefer the antagonist regardless of all their faults. It happens with high school musical too. Some people really hate Gabriella and think Sharpay is queen. I personally like both for what they are. Sharpay is a fantastic Disney villain but some people want to make her into a hero and make Gabriella the villain.

People want to call out Tori for kissing beck but totally skip over jade humiliating tori first. Tori had no idea beck had a girlfriend when they first met, jade got jealous for no reason and decide to bully tori for it, going so far to humiliate her in front of her classmates. The kiss was obviously petty revenge. Beck who agrees obviously knew what jade did to tori was horrible and I think it was his own way of taking jade down a peg and not letting himself be controlled by her. The kiss was part of the exercise and not meant to be taken seriously, Sorry going to have to say jade deserved it. She decided to be a bully and then couldn't take her own medicine.

Something that i dont see people mention is that there is ALOT of hate towards the "relatable" female leads of tv shows from internalised misogyny. Its not just this show either. Whenever there is a female lead that everyone gives a bunch of attention to (because she is the lead) but her character is designed to be more realistic and relatable to viewers, it makes your brain jump to "she's nothing special but she thinks she is and its annoying". You start to get this "pick me" image of her and the literal best example of this is meredith from greys anatomy. She is the reason the term pick me is a thing (her famous "pick me, chose me" monologue to Derrick). I absolutely used to HATE her character in my teens. Everyone else had so much more going for them and all she did was complain amd make selfish decisions but she was the star so everyone revolved around her. Its makes her seem like an unlikeable whiney woman that girls hate and guys don't acknowledge. But rewatching it as i matured, i realised that her character was very complex and most of the hate either came down to shitty story writing or misinterpretations of her intentions. I actually came to love her character because of her realistic writing and how they gave her faults from the start because her trauma changed her. I realised after that, i hated alot of those type of female lead because i always wanted to be the more interesting side character that didnt seek the attention but deserved it. Sam, jade, quinn...i all liked them more. i've never liked a nick female lead more than a side character because they just tell you they're the star without actually giving them the merits. But disney didn't write their female leads to be realistic. Hannah, alex and raven were unique and it makes sense why they deserved the lead but they always made sure to humble them. Sharpay had way more star power and was iconic but she was actually antagonistic whereas Gabriella was truly down to earth and just as talented so you wanted her to suceed. And lizzie was the epitome of relatable teen girl with her inner character being more expressive than she was allowed to be in person.

As someone who went to university to study contemporary art I don't find it confusing at all actually how a lot of the characters seem to have multiple talents. Its not a music school, Hollywood arts is depicted as an interdisciplinary art school and seeing as how they are all in highschool still it makes perfect sense that most of them would not have narrowed down one specific art form to specialize in. Thats something you usually figure out in like second year university, not highschool, if that. All of the characters seem to be very multidisciplinary contemporary artists and mixing mediums like film, comedy, music, theatre, and visual art. They do have artitypal roles but they don't coincide with unique art disaplines or specialties.

Outside of the talent conversation, one of my biggest problems with Victorious is that none of them are good friends to each other. Something Disney and iCarly excelled in was showing good friendships. When Sam acted out in iCarly, her friendship with Carly made it easier to swallow. Most of these characters can’t stand each other and treat each other badly, including the parents! The dynamic of petty competition never goes away, even when Tori’s behavior changes over the seasons. It’s hard to like her as a character bc no one else really likes her lol

Even Tori seeks jade's friendship despite Jade hating her. Robbie is a wrinkle though. Robbie didn't hate anyone, and no one really hated Robbie, but idk why they are friends with him tbh. That's the only relationship I can't really justify. Trina is not even in the friend group. I do agree the friendships aren't as meaningful as other shows. They don't exactly give off life long friendships. Which is funny because the cast did develop a life long friendship. I remembered being surprised that the cast was so close. Nothing about the show gives the impression that the friendships run deep.

I’m so happy you said what you said about her being not that different from other main characters like Carly for example. I realized at some point that most, if not all, of those “bland” female main characters have another girl best friend to balance them out by bringing out the “bad” or interesting side in them think about it. Carly had Sam, Miley had Lily (not rlly the same), and even Alex (the opposite of Tori) had Harper to bring out her good side. Basically if you think of any other female main character of a show they all have that best friend character who brings out the other side in them. Slightly more recent and diff example but Phoebe and Max from the thundermans as well. So my theory is that since Tori didn’t have *that* kind of character for her (besides André but it didn’t rlly work like that), people have subconsciously acted as if she is some sort of despicable and unredeemable person, even for doing the slightest of wrong things that any other character would be immediately forgiven for. I will say tho, that a lot of my favorite “bad Tori” moments have come from when she was around Trina cuz I think Trina was most of the time that person who we could see Tori be kinda real with if yk what I mean. I feel like if there were more of those sisterly moments especially at school, we would see a different, more imperfect side of Tori more often and people will like her more (or at least hate her less). But anyway, that’s just my two cents I personally have always loved Tori from the first time I watched it and was just shook when I realized most ppl didn’t like her for the most stupid of reasons😂

victoria has a great voice. she’s not less skilled at all, its annoying hearing a bunch of untrained ears saying she’s not as good of a singer. she simply just has a different voice. its not the conventional voice you hear, it’s very unique in a way that makes it that much more enjoyable. im a huge ariana fan (i literally have a poster of her and hella merch lol) but i wont deny that her voice isn’t super special, its amazing, but many people can achieve an ariana grande sound. its hard to sound like victoria though. she has a really special, unique voice. it’s unforgettable, really.

Her voice is really similar to Katy Perry to me. Perfect for upbeat pop/dance songs, and at first you might describe their tones as "bland" or "common" until you realize it's really hard for anyone to do an impression of them lol. Thank you so much for this review. Even after all these years, people are so unfair to Tori. Tho I do disagree with one thing and that Tori's treatment of her sister. While I love Trina, she can be very mean towards Tori for no reason. She constantly demeans her and treats her as lesser than, and Tori just takes it. Even when Trina is being mean and embarrassing Tori, she kinda just takes it. It's no wonder over time that Tori really gets fed up and is just retaliating. Plus, Tori is plenty nice to Trina despite that. Trying so hard to get her the perfect birthweek gift, gifting the song for her and getting her back into school. I love the two of them, and Trina also has her moments of being a great sister; warning her about Ryder, saving her from the plant she was allergic to. I just can't really fault Tori when she snaps back.

I think another thing we need to keep into consideration about Tori’s character is that her character also had a lot of self worth and self confidence issues. It’s not just simply about whether she had to TRY to be good or not but also whether she believed in her talent and was confident about it Tori from day one never had that kind of self confidence in what she’s capable of, proven when she had a lot of doubt about going to Hollywood Arts in the first place. Thinking all the students there were the real talented ones and questioning whether she could even hold a candle to them. For me, I always saw that from Tori too. I think Cats talent was actually that she was a MUA and custome designer. They had an episode where she dressed as some of the cast and another where she practices horror make up on tori. I always thought Robbie used Rex to slyly get away with intrusive thoughts. Also, the jailbreak two-ep special and the April Fools ep feature Trina singing and she's fantastic. Shame they didn't use that more, but I was fine with martial arts and stage fighting as her skills. Also, they make it very clear that Jade is director/film maker and actor multiple times throughout the show

Tbh as girl who has a sister that's two years apart, I saw Tori and Trina's relationship as somewhat normal; in that they bicker and fight a lot, along with moments of looking out for each other (also Trina has fault in wisdom teeth situation, as her anesthesia wore off by time the pill and pea scene happened, but tying her up was uncalled for)

I agree that Beck and Jade were a toxic couple, but I also always thought that Tori and Andre would have made a better couple than Tori and Beck. They just had more chemistry together, while Beck is just seen as "the hot guy" in the show.

I remember watching Victorious not long ago, and honestly, I never really had that strong of an opinion of Tori. She has a solid voice, some of her songs are great and for Pete's sake, the show's called "VicTORIous" so, of course, the show is centred around this particular character whether people like it or not; that said, I can say that Ariana Grande is among the strongest singers vocally, even Elizabeth Gillies (Jade) and Leon Thomas III (Andre) are by themselves, incredible singers and this series shows that. I find it disappointing that they didn't get much of the singing spotlight, even in the April Fools episode with "Shut Up and Dance", I love the collaboration of all the voices, and after getting the music Album with songs from the show which has that song, Tori was the only one singing. Which I feel was a missed opportunity, but there's no use complaining about it now. As for the "we all can sing" comment, seriously? People are still going on about that. I remember that drama after I graduated High-School. Which is where it should have stayed. Did the actress Victoria Justice say that? Yes, absolutely; however, it could be taken in two different directions, and I feel that many took it incredibly negatively, rather than stepping back to see the alternative perspective. Plus looking at the video, she does not look the most comfortable, which could imply that she's either insecure or uncomfortable. She might not be the most sociable person and there's nothing wrong with that. She could have just spewed something to contribute to the conversation, and it could have been taken the wrong way. My point is; it's not fair for people to take something out of context or interpret something in one direction where there is another direction it could be taken. Clearly many have interpreted her comment as sour when Victorious's intention could have been completely different. We all have insecurities and personal struggles, and who's the say that Victoria Justice isn't struggling with the same problem? If people want to be angry at someone in this entire show, I think Jade is a very strong candidate because of all the BS she's had to put everyone in the Show through. She continuously reminds Trina that no one likes her, belittling/sabotaging/humiliating/even implying to bury TORI at some point, disrespecting everyone around her, intimidating everyone to get what she wants, and even staging as Tori so she can get on a GAME SHOW which everyone loses anyway, and even being a terrible GF to Beck multiple times! I can go on about this, though I will admit that Jade is my favourite character in the show, but that doesn't mean that she's immune to criticism and judgement. She's a strong-willed character who isn't afraid to speak her mind, is extremely committed to what she does, is incredibly talented and knows how to get things done. They are even moments where it does show that she cares, especially towards Cat Vallentine. Jade commands a lot of attention, but sometimes, if not all the time, in the best way possible.

Finally a normal comment without praising everyone except Victoria! 🙌 I absolutely agree with you. One thing I thought about this ridiculous "We all can sing" situation is, that maybe, Victoria just doesn't like Ariana's singing that much. Not, because she hates her or thinks she's better than her, but maybe she doesn't like the style/timbre/whatever. That's okay isn't it? I never understood why people were making such a big deal out of this tiny answer...

Tori matured and so should the haters. I'm sure the haters have done things Tori has. Victoria Justice is an actress therefore it doesn't make sense to give her hate. This show exposes how ridiculous people think - actually, they're not thinking at all. Other characters were purposely written to be given the side eye yet we dislike the character who is human and have character development. As a kid things might be a blur (tho it wasn't for me) so they should re-watch without their emotions. The haters should be mad at the producers.

Take a hint was actually a cover, its just gotten so popular due to Victorious that if you type in "Take a Hint Original" it brings up victorious's cover. The original was sang by Megan Kabir and has really good vocals, I'd definitely recommend listening to it!

I wouldn't even say it's fair to hate Tori for how she treats Trina cause Trina treats her like trash too. She's really demanding and entitled and treated Tori like a servant multiple times. Even in the episode where she got her wisdom teeth taken out, Trina seemed to go out of her way to make it difficult for Tori, literally physically fighting her when Tori tried to give her an ice pack and refusing to walk up the stairs (even though she was capable of doing martial arts), forcing Tori to drag her. All that on top of the fact that Tori was forced into watching her and their parents went out of their way to abandon them? Yeah, Tori was nicer than I would've been.
