You don’t want to much all at once. To the point the ground can’t handle it. Nice steady rain is fine.

@@wfs29223 True, but it always floods here in some areas no matter if it's alot or not. Those shots of street flooding are normal flood areas. I agree with you though some areas can't take it so fast. thank goodness for the sand quick drainage. : ) peace

While Florida and the Gulf Coast get this, we are told that we are about to get heavy, wet snow tonight in Idaho and Montana that will break down trees and bring down our power lines. This is being an interesting weekend.

Geico insurance ads? Really? If you get into just ONE accident, they will drop you like a hot potato. If they don't, expect to see MASSIVE increases in your insurance premiums. NEVER get Geico. State Farm Insurance is the BEST!

Prayers for all in the storms path including wildlife. There's a bald eagle nest I follow in the Sarasota area & although the two young eagles have already fledged for the season, they are still infants in their skills that includes riding out storms & high winds. This nest was destroyed 2 years ago during a winter storm that blew threw but the adult pair built a new one in record time within 2 weeks and successfully raised two eaglets that season. It was a beautiful story that showed their resilience and determination to reproduce. The nest held up and after some restorations, they successfully raised another brood this season. Be safe out there, & TY for sharing.

This system is not a tropical storm - it's a sub-tropical storm that should not have been named. Prior to 2002, none of the sub-tropical systems were named.

I'm right in the path of this mess. Not looking forward to what's supposed to be coming here.
