Let’s be honest… you’re not buying one of these for a “quality” interior. It’s from the 90’s… it’s exactly as it should be. Also, the oil, run 10w60 and run it to the max fill. Great video. Nice to see a JDM on this channel.

The SoCal scene and videos of street racing in the late 90s, early 2000s got me hooked on the JDM/tuner scene even though I was on the east coast. My dad is a mechanic and got me a subscription to Motor Trend ever since middle school so the bug hit early. And downloading Initial D from Limewire in college solidified my love. Now I'm watching your channel to see crazy cars and mods my wallet can only dream. Keep it up OJ!

Hey from New Zealand ,I got into cars in the mid 80s here when JDM second hand imports flooded our country due to Deregulation of car imports as by then we had no car industry ,Went from rusty Ford Mk 1 and Mk2 escorts to Mazda BMFR Familia turbo 4wd and Sa22 RX7s for a bit then in 2005 I got a Nissan C33 Laural Club S RB20DE Auto ,saved up 5 k NZD and scored a R33 GTR RB26DETT from a Front cut that i got from Nisbits in auckland who had piles of GTR front cuts ,this one had 170 km on it ,good compression ,not to varnished inside it had cold side but no turbos or manifold hence the price ,managed to score a stock set of twin turbos off a mate with manifolds ,scored a diesel manual laural RD28 with a 20 Det type of box and bits ,fitted the 26 with help of mates brother to wire it in with a stock chipped ecu ,ditched the hi cas rubbish and got a non hi cas R32 rear sub frame ,still got it today done over 100 000 km on that motor with 5000 km oil changes ,got a link on it now ,i sawpped a 800 nzd pit bike to get the Laural ,5 k on motor ,1000 nzd on the manual diesel ,400 for the twin turbos ,1800 on link ecu and sensors ,now in 2024 my cars worth north of 30 k NZD ,Love Nissans as they are like lego tho it has a pair of EVO 5 recaros ,rep 18 inch TEs .love the channel more nissan content please

I always admired these cars when I became aware of their existence. This is a great example of that time period when these cars were not available here in the US. I would struggle with driving a right hand drive vehicle. It must be very disorienting. Great video showing the inspection process. Thank you

FYI that looks to be just the stock intake manifold. Nobody ever really changes these on twin turbo engines as they hold up beyond 600hp without a problem. Usually those are only swapped for another manifold for really big HP, for optical improvement or if you want single throttle/drive by wire. R33 GTR was advertised with 7:59 on the Ring but nobody ever believed the time to be genuine especially today. The handling is definitely still an upgrade from the R32. If this car runs stockish power the boost should be 0.8bars, maybe 1bar depending on the tune. They don't make that much boost from factory. Stock turbos also don't love going 400+hp.

GREAT post. Very informative. Beautiful R33 example. Just a suggestion on pulling into your lift-I painted 2in wide white lines on the floor as guides. Doesn’t matter where exactly, just as long as they’re parallel, and the same dimension from each post. Simple, and end up being pretty useful….

OJ, Right-hand and Left-hand drive cars. Used to travel between West (Left-hand) and East Africa (Right-hand) often but never ended up on the wrong side of the road. Not as bad as one will think.

😂❤my love of jdm cars started loonnngg before the 2000s and fast and furious. My dad had a hakosuka when i was a kid in Okinawa. I was born there. I also knew Paul Walker 2 years before he did fast and furious. I worked with him in VARSITY BLUES ,and we chatted bout jdm cars on set alot. I knew him 15 years.

JDM is what I would specialize in working on if I landed a job at FMU as an example. I appreciate you telling your story about how you got into automotive from the beginning! Since I am a quite bit younger than most of you guys including yourself O.J. Lopez, I wanted to share my story as well. As a child I was grown up around going to car shows with my grandparents, and I still to this day will always miss those great days I had seeing some of the most bad ass cars around. That was the beginning of my start of my automotive love. As I was growing up Fast and Furious was also just starting out as the most popular TV series then since I am young, and both of these factors combined. I really struck the needle in the hay stack as my luck was supreme for what I decided to end up loving further into the future!
