Thanks for sharing, Robbie. I love eating trout. My favourite method is to use aluminium foil, add big dollops of butter, a very small splash of white wine, and some cracked pepper. Wrap the foil into a parcel, put it on the frypan or bbq plate to cook for 5 minutes. Delicious. MP

Robbie try a sachet of the Tandaco Coating Mix - Lightly Seasoned Fish if you haven't already. I've been using it for 30+ years as a convenient coating for fish when camping. My mouth started watering as soon as you said 'cook', if I get chance of a fresh trout like that I prefer to cook them whole after gutting, the meat falls off the bone so no worries about bones. Are your trout stocked, most are here, when you catch them you have to pay per pound weight as well as the fee for fishing? Enjoyed the vid but going back to my cheese sandwich. Take care, Norfolk, UK Ray
@robbiefishing Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Ray. I prefer to eat them while because it means that I don't have to fillet them. Haha 😂 I agree, you always lose meat when filleting, no matter how good you are. Cooking them whole means less lost meat. Trout use to be stocked into the streams, but there's just too many Greenies here now that hate trout. They prefer the tiny little 3 inch minnows that offer absolutely nothing to the recreational angler, just because they're native.. There are thousands and thousands of keen trout fisherman in Australia, and a growing number of Greenies opposing them unfortunately.
