I haven't fished in probably 15+ years, and one of my best child hood memories is my Dad catching a golden. I just got my fishing license, and I am extremely excited to out for the first time in a long time. Great videos, and congrats on that beautiful fish!

Great video Brother. I am 72 years old, I used to fish with my Grandfather, he was a Pennsylvania fly-fishing champion. We used to catch and eat in the 1960s.

a local hatchery is purposely raising trout multiple years to stock into "kids only fishing areas" I have a video of a best friend helping his 5 year old son catch a 10 lb 29 inch rainbow out of a local beaver damn area that is for only children fishing. ABSOLUTELY EPIC! and your fish was 22-23 inches long, you admitted it while it was in the net you added an inch to make it 23 cause it was "curved" I watch several of those fish get caught on opening day every year now. Congrats

Very nice trout, you would be hard-pressed in any state to catch one that big. Nice job. That fly was an early stone fly, they hatch out of the water usually on a stone. When seeing them it is best to use a nymph to imitate them.

All depends on what time you’d be thinking on going! I know Penns can be known for its amazing Green Drake hatches however if you check out “Woods N Water” he’s another Pa based KZbinr and fishes that creek pretty often and offers amazing advice and techniques better than I could give you!

I know that man. This is a special regulation catch and release year round creek section. You can fish for trout before opening day in PA, you just got to see what areas have the special regulations that apply to them.
