Hi Adam, nice review. I also encountered this problem with the pads covering the earlobes. I think I found a solution for that. You can simply turn the cheekpads by 180°. Then the earlobes are completely free and in my opinion the helmet is even more comfortable with cheekpads turned around by 180°. Would be happy to hear how your opinion is about this cheekpad configuration :)

That sounds like a great idea! I'm now using the Dainese Liner 01 helmet and it's even lighter than the TLD Stage. Check out my review on it! ✌🏼🤟🏼

:D yeah. This is the second helmet I have ordered. Now I have both helmets at home and have to decide which one I should keep. My head fits a bit better into the tld stage, after turning the cheekpads. The tld seems to be a bit more for egg heads, the linea 01 is a bit more like marble head fit :D I will compare them a few days before I choose one.

The first and only helmet I've had is a full face 7idp M1 helmet which is a very good helmet but as my skill is hopefully improving my safety has to aswell. I've only just really started taking mountain biking seriously although I've been cycling most my life. I've decided that although there's a lot of hills where I am a half shell isn't enough assurance for me so I'm going with another full-face, and by the sounds of it it'll be breathable enough, especially coming from a helmet with a low amount of ventilation. But, I'm getting a new bike in a month or two, probably the orange clockwork evo, and they can chuck in this helmet as part of the deal, so the choice is obvious. Great review man, it's helpful me make my decision a lot.

@@AdamMock Nice one. I swear by mine. Even under trousers, which we need at the mo here coz its freezing still. Bloody Scottish spring. 🥶 I keep meaning to do more reviews, l have a lot off stuff that l think would be good, but they seem more hassle than just making trail vids. @@christranter8882 bell is much warmer and significantly heavier. But it feels very durable. Also, check out my review on the Dainese Linea 01. Thanks Alex! Yeah, I use a GoPro chin mount I grabbed off Amazon for around $15. Mounts right over the front of the chin bar and I position the camera so it’s up as high as the mount itself, and not hanging down below the chin bar. Works pretty well. And thanks for sub! Appreciate the support! ✌🏼🤟🏼

Iam on the market for a good full face helmet, and since i had a skinny body so i need to find a smallest possible helmet shell, I've heard that this helmet is the smallest size shell, can you onfirm as the real user that this tld stage is the smallest shell on the market to this day.? thank you so much and forgiveness for my broken english.

Your English is wonderful! No apology needed. I don’t know if TLD Stage is the smallest shell on the market or not. However, I have a friend who also needed a very small full face and went with the TLD Stage. The changeable padding let’s you customize the fit for your head. ✌🏼🤟🏼

Important question, it's really comfortable for the long distances?
@AdamMock2 жыл бұрын
I guess it depends on heat and how long you’re talking. But I can say it’s a very comfortable helmet. And once the pads have broken in a bit, you forget it’s on. So for long distances I believe it works well. On sunny and hot days, it actually feels cooler to wear the helmet and block the direct sunlight than to take it off.

No easy at all. Lots of good brands out there! I really like the TLD Stage and have been very happy with it. A lot of people dig the Fox Pro Frame. Is there another option with similar weight/breathability, as the TLD Stage, but more durability especially in the chin bar??
@AdamMock2 жыл бұрын
The Fox Pro Frame is similar to the Stage as well as the Dainese Linea 01. Unfortunately, as for the durability of the chin bar, they should hold up to the ratings they’re advertised for. But I have heard stories where the chin bar on both the Stage and Fox have broken. The Linea is pretty new so I haven’t heard any issues with it do far.
