Schad here - I've worn the Stage MIPS quite a bit myself and haven't noticed that when riding. Would like the rest of the community to chime on this one. Anyone get noise from the MIPS liner over bumps?

Hey Russ, If you moving at motorized speeds on asphalt we would not recommend the Troy Lee Stage helmet. You'll defiantly want to purchase a DOT certified motorcycle helmet.

This is what I use. On a flat the body armor is equally important at that speed. DH can easily reach 35-45 mph and these helmets are there for trees or boulders. I'd rather fall on smooth concrete and slide slowly than hit a boulder

Hi Bogdan, All TLD Stage Helmets now come with MIPS. So to answer you question...no. You can no longer purchase a Stage helmet without the MIPS technology.
