I used these guys several times when they were first starting out when I lived in KC. I'm sure they are reading these comments so I just wanted to share my experience in case it helps them. I had Kyle and another brother Sam (not shown) come out to fix some cars in my family several times. When you got a Taylor brother to come out, the service was phenomenal. Early on they were doing flat pricing, whatever the job was they would give a flat quote for the job (As shops/dealerships do) and it was cheaper than shops and obviously amazing that they came out to you. Very professional and expedient. Then as they grew they hired non family members, I remember one guy who I won't name came out to do some ABS work on my wife's car and he permanently screwed up something in the brake system, probably the rotor, to this day 4 years later I still have really bad brake noises that only happened after their employee worked on the brakes on that side. I did mention it after the fact and the same employee had to come out and blamed it on "brake dust" and it was never actually fixed. That was also the start of them charging per hour rather than a flat quote. In that last instance, the employee started his clock when he drove up and then proceeded to tell me he was leaving right after greeting me to use a restroom at a nearby gas station and left for like 30 minutes. I paid for that very long restroom trip which he could have done before he came to me. Once they moved to that variable pricing model and started hiring non-brothers, I stopped using them personally but did keep recommending them to people in KC. You should definitely use them if you're in the KC area but insist on a Taylor brother to come out - they know what they are talking about/doing and were a pleasure to deal with. It's entirely possible they got rid of the guy I had the issue with because I noticed some other not great reviews around the time of my experience too about their hired mechanic. And in the video Kyle implies they are flat rate so maybe they are back to flat rate.

Urea is a fertilizer. But the DEF and EGR systems on the new diesel vehicles is actually ruining the engine after about 80k miles. They put the soot back into the engine and it plugs it up.
@TroyKearns8 ай бұрын
The DEF and EGR systems indeed play a crucial role in emissions control, but issues like soot buildup can arise over time. Regular maintenance and understanding these systems' functions can help mitigate such problems.

Very informative and insightful. While I've had bad experiences with Toyota, I understand the numbers still point too decent reliability. Honda was great and my Hyundai Santa Fe was rock solid and not a single issue. Mazda is pretty good for me (as long as you rust proof it). Note: Both Hyundai and Kia have plants in the USA. Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, LLC (HMMA), assembles the Hyundai Tucson, Santa Fe, and Santa Fe Hybrid SUVs, Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle, and the Genesis GV70 and Electrified GV70 SUVs. Kia has a plant in Georgia and they build the super popular Kia Sorento. Kia K5. Kia Telluride so Americans are definitely supporting American made by purchasing the above vehicles. Toyota and Honda have a number of plants in the USA as well..

So if this the case in regards to American car companies and why are people telling the people to buy American?

These guys know nothing. The reason why mopar and ford have lots of issues is because 1. more problems=higher level of engineering. 2. Low reliability=better product. 3. More frequent breakdowns=more cars sold overall and more money for the manufacturer. And customers are happiest when they are brand loyal and keep buying more new cars that have lower and lower service life. Customer is even happier when they feel they overspent. Lastly, the happiest type of customer is the one that spent more than they can afford on a completely garbage unrepairable product. Before you call this satire (which this is), please tell me how many unhappy Apple users you personally know, who bought a product that is deemed unrepairable in the first year of service and still go on to buy another Apple product.
@TroyKearns9 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your perspective! It's interesting to hear different viewpoints on the relationship between engineering complexity, reliability, and customer satisfaction. While it's true that some may perceive higher levels of engineering as leading to more issues, and brand loyalty can play a significant role in customer satisfaction, it's also essential to consider the diverse experiences and preferences of consumers. Each individual's perspective and experience contribute to the broader discussion about product quality and customer satisfaction. Your thoughts certainly spark an intriguing conversation!
@linvesel9 ай бұрын
@@TroyKearns just want to reiterate once again that this was satire, especially when I said, “these guys know nothing”. In all seriousness, these technicians are trying to provide good service, thus fighting an uphill battle against manufacturers who try to prevent repairability of products via engineered obsolescence, and consumers who think new expensive product=better quality.
@TroyKearns9 ай бұрын
@@linvesel Thank you for the clarification. Your satirical comment sheds light on the challenges technicians face against engineered obsolescence. It's crucial to advocate for repairability and sustainable design amidst consumer perceptions of new equals better. These discussions are vital for promoting awareness and informed decision-making.

The site should show and explain that they are willing and able to do that which others can't and won't. Right now it looks more like a cookie cutter Branded Dealer website. wtf, these guys are on crack. My dads company switched to Kia and Hyundai for their company cars beginning of last year and they were all nightmares. He had them all traded in early off the leases last month, just that stupid statement makes not want to listen to anything they say. Hyundai and Kia make Junk cars, then on the flip side I’ve had two chargers (scat pack and now a Hell Cat) zero issues and I’ve owned the current charger sense 2018 and I drove my last dodge truck to 300k (3/4 ton) before selling it…. The only thing I’ll agree with them on is Ford, Ford truly makes junk.
