This was the perfect video to walk me through changing this mirror. thanks! One note for anyone taking on this project...after you have the door card off and you're removing the 4 nuts that secure the mirror housing, there's a large hole where the wiring harness comes out. I dropped one of the nuts down there, where it will live forever. I would suggest either stuffing a rag in the hole or maybe taping off so you don't make the same mistake. Luckily the mirror I purchased came with 4 additional screws.

Dealer told me that it would take a 1 1/2 hour for labor. I done it with this video in about 30 minutes. Saved me 200 dollars. I did set door panel on cooler and it worked just fine.

I followed everything in the video and was super pumped when I got in and tried the electrical controls on the mirror - and they worked. However now I am not able to use the windows, and it thinks my door is open....any ideas on how to remedy this? I uninstalled and re-installed the panel/electrical and am still getting the same result. Thanks again

Not unless you upgrade the wiring system, get your bcm updated by GM
