Based on prompts from some of my viewers, I thought I would continue to look at using what I had for an AC adapter. More to follow as I am not sure about the results I got. Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

Well done Tom, nothing ventured... nothing gained :) FWIW I use an GME PSA123 4A regulated power supply for my R1000 and have noted no adverse noise what so ever.
