It’s hard to find a decent review of this rig, but yours is definitely one of the best. Most just ramble on and don’t really describe the functions . Thanks.de Chuck NL7IB.

Very enlightening Tom thanks. I've been using my new 750 for a few days. Really enjoying it, its the only decent radio I've used since my grandmothers old valve set 30 years ago. I noticed the tuning knob seemed to feel a little unstable though. I checked the lock nut and it was loose. Tuning knob feels much better after I tightened it.
@hamrad8810 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comments. The loose knob is quite common on this radio. The original 750s were worse. Keep us posted on your experiences with the 750. Tom

This shown is a video clip written Grundig. This is Chinese. A device written in iTunes is one of the best. Thank you

Hello, I have a Grundig satellite 650 radio, a burnt out clock. What is the way to change the radio? Is it easy or difficult? Thank you.

Thanks for the great video, can you tell me the difference is between the 750 and the 750 Ultimate?

Sorry, I don't know of any differences. Perhaps someone else will answer your question.

Nice show Tom, I’m newbie in the SW world but I adopted your channel as a great reference for it. I’m planning to hook up a MFJ-1778M antenna to it and at this point ¿can you help me telling me what’s the adapter I must connect from the end of the antena to the entrance of the satellite 750 please? Thanks upfront. Regards from México 🇲🇽
@hamrad88 Жыл бұрын
Your coax cable to the antenna will most likely have a PL-259 connectors. So you need a BNC Male to PL259 Female adapter.

Hay Tom, yet another good vid, My question would be--- is the 750 worth the money??? I normally radio shop for the best bang for the buck, right now I'm going between the Tecsun 880 and 660, I also have the DX160 (and love it for the good old days value) and DX440, KD7YKR, 73s
@hamrad8810 жыл бұрын
Yes, the 750 is a very good radio as they have fixed some of the early problems they had with this radio when it first came out. It's not really a portable so if you want something to carry around a newer version of the 660 would be better. Lastly, if you want an 880, I would suggest you wait until they fix some of the problems with the early versions. I have had two versions of the 880 and the second version they fixed many of the problems but not all. Tom

Just picked this radio up today for $200. I should have bought one sooner, it is actually a capable receiver for the money. Don't understand why all the negatives on this receiver. I have it hooked up to a military grade (Harris) long wire with an antenna tuner and wow the stations really come out!

Yes, it is a good radio for under $300 price range. Tom

@@hamrad88 Tune it around strong stations on frequencys next to the station your listening to and you will see why people that own them say what they do. And have a high failure rate to boot.

Where can i find replacement potentiometers (value unknown) for the Squelch, RF gain and the SB BFO controls? The radio is a Eton Grundig Satellit 750 which is the same as Tecsun 2000. Anyone with the schematic diagram please tell me the values. Thank you so much !

Hello, is the original 750 device German or Chinese? Can I know the original from China? Please clarify? My greetings
@hamrad88 Жыл бұрын
My understanding is the original is German. The Chinese one is sold under the name Eton.

Jim- Hamradio Ok, yes the meter works fine. This is the latest version of this radio (purchased last year from Amazon). Note this is not the Eton version.

I hope other (ETON) Grundig Satellite 750's are better then the one I bought. So far I've discovered numerous cold solder joints, bad connections and scratchy ferrite antenna, bad pots .. Like the volume control. If I tapped one end of the rig up and down on a firm surface (not hard of course) it powered off and on. Eton now sells it as the Eton Elite.. lol. I would beware. Oh and I purchased mine back in August 2012.

I have never had any problems with my Grundig radios where I have heard the Eton radios have a lot of quality control problems.

Thanks for reply Tom .. I'm glad you didn't have any issues with yours. I wish I would have purchased a Tecsun version .. It's really confusing trying to figure out who builds what brand / version. Thinking about getting something else, but not sure just what yet. Not anything Eton .. That's for sure. Any suggestions? :)

@@fitcher-armchair-sleuth For something to consider is the newer Tecsun radios like the H-501x. I have several shows on this radio and really like it. I got mine from ANON-CO. Anna from there has been very helpful.
