Truck Fest 2013: Smokey Big Rigs Burnouts & Drag Racing Revealed

( www.TFLtruck.com ) When you think of a Big Rig Semi...you probably don't immediately think of drag racing...or do you? This weekend at Bandimere Speedway just outside of Denver, Colorado hundreds of Big Rig Semi trucks lined up on the drag strip to see which one is the kind of the mile high drag strip and which one is the fastest mile high pickup dragster. Can a big rig run a sub 20 second quarter mile? You bet. Can a big rig run a sub 15 mile....no problem. Can a Big Rig run a sub 10 second time? You'll have to watch the video to find out. Lots of crybabies commenting here... These trucks weigh upwards 15,000 lbs and most have non synchronized a 10 speed manual... 5 low and 5 high. You try drag racing one of these, it's not easy. Obviously most of these trucks are stock and the owners are just out to have some fun at the track. If you hate the trucks so much; why are you watching the video and taking the time to comment?

Because most you see on road are fleet trucks meaning they are not personally owned. And these are nothing compared to what the trucks in Quebec. They do drag racing with full load and they twist axles and lift tires.

I'd love to see some of the 'pull' trucks run the 1/4 mile, with engines as ridiculous as 998ci twin turbo diesel, or quad turbo 600. I imagine those would run something fascinating on the straight.

I was at the drag strip with a couple of guys that had 18 wheelers one was running Low 13's in the other one was low 14th these trucks were normal trucks that worked

Yes, its just the pause in between the shifts that lets the suspension rise and then when he grabs the next gear it squats the rearend again.

Joe Cruz could be in a car but a truck with a non synchronized transmission its fine. For example a truck with a 18 speed transmission will almost never go through all the gears unless he's towing really heavy
