Good on you for passing, we need more lady truckers. When i passed my class 1 a long time ago i took a couple of shunts to get on a weighbridge. When i got out i explained to a watching driver i'd only just passed my test. He said "I've been doing this for years & some days i can't hit a badgers arse with a banjo". That's stayed with me. As for the reversing, when the trailer's half way to where you want it to be start straightening it up & if you're not sure get out & have a walk round. Better to check than clip something. I wish you well.

Hiya Hayley. I know this was before your time (literally), but we used to have a popular DJ on our local ILR radio station Beacon Radio 303, Kris Kennedy Jr., who used to sign off on his radio programmes very frequently with the line "keep on truckin'", and I think that sounds very true in your profession. A big WELL DONE Hayley, you got there, now you can drive the heavy & long bendy trucks !! You had good instructor's, well done to them as well !! Fancy one day getting a PSV licence so you can drive a bus in service with 70 odd passengers on board ??? ( They self load & unload !!! ).

Well Done! I've worked in education, and don't always agree with exams.... It's not always a case of 'Can you do it on the day' Now you've passed, it's now you really start to learn! Good to see your company have faith in you, and have you training your 'replacement' and it's another female driver. Nice to see stereotypes being broken. Good Luck in your future endeavours, will have to watch out for the class 1 K Transport wagons from now on!
