I've been in a situation like this where my brother wanted me to put his car title and insurance under my name. I have a spotless driving record and credit rating. I was not going to jeopardize either one for his past bad decisions. My family was like, we need to look out for each other. My response was, so I'm not a good brother unless I'm in the same pit as the rest. I LOVE my kids, but I wouldn't co-sign or put anything under my name. I taught them cause and effect, that you'll responsible for your own actions.

Next thing we know, we find out he has a warrant for that same ticket that was already paid. Had to show the receipt to get it dropped. If I'd never kept it, he would've been wrongfully arrested. I think some ppl at the courthouse actually pocketed the money and gave a fraudulent receipt. And he's not the only person that has happened to that we know of, but unfortunately, they discarded their ppw.
