Yep. Keep all dogs on a leash at ALL times. If they are a 2lb Yorkie or a 200lb great Dane. I always try and walk/turn away when I see people coming near me because my dogs like to jump in a friendly and they are big dogs. I just say "please do not come near me/ please stop so I can turn around" and then I walk away and make the leash shorter. Best not to even risk it. Also it's BOTH people's responsibility. EVERYONE needs to be aware of their OWN surroundings at ALL times. We are all responsible for our own safety. I personally do a 4×15 rule. I ALWAYS look around so I know what is 15 feet in front of me, behind me and to each side of me at ALL times

ALL dogs can potentially bite humans. They are animals and animals bite. That's how they defend themselves and their owners. My friend has his ACL torn from a Pomeranian I was attacked by a collie. Probably 50% of old single farts are nutters and for that reason, I will stay single for my remaining years. Why would I want to constantly have to talk some sense into a delusional, opinionated, grumpy old man who thinks the world should revolve around his every whim? Something warps in the mind of too many retired, single men with too much time on their hands. It is a constant make-work situation that requires high maintenance. I don't need the life drained out of me!

What's the deal with the plaintiff? Stand your ground law statement was clearly a threat with that sinister look on his face. I hope nothing happens. Hope the defendant stays clear away.
