We have been pathetic all season. We have won games through individual moments of brilliance. Still yet to put a convincing half together. That first half was unacceptable. A complete lack of effort from every player. That first goal is pub team defending. We were so slow. Where is this Intensity is our Identity? I see no intensity from us. Maybe the players needed a hammering to get the message that we have been papering the cracks all season. City at home next being the next league game then an away game at Everton where we have a bad record. God help this team.

That result has been coming since the opening day. Hopefully a big wake-up call for Howe and everyone at the club. If these performances continue we aren't getting anywhere near the top 6 let alone CL, which will then see Isak, Gordon, Bruno leaving next summer, it's all very depressing :(

Every team has a peak and needs to be reset, and unless the manager in charge is capable of forging a new system, he loses his job more often than not. Looking at the team over the past year, it's obvious we're on a downward trajectory. Howe probably *is* going to lose his job before too long, it's just a matter of when. The most damning fact for me personally is that it's very obvious that he doesn't even know his best 11. That is inexcusable after 3 years.

How is James bunce (performance director) fitting into the set up, and what impact is he having on PERFORMANCE. we are a shadow of the side from the past 2.5 years, look unfit, demotivated, the famous intensity has gone, and like they have never played together. Easy to blame the manager, and the players, but something is not right.
@jdevlin1910Ай бұрын
So you just jump on a guy who's role you likely don't even understand to begin with? And these issues aren't new they've been present since last November / December when bunce wasn't around so who was to blame then? Anyone but Howe with you lot, the man has no responsbility.
@david75nufc99Ай бұрын
@@jdevlin1910 you don’t know or understand me, but you’ve made an assumption about my feelings. I’m struggling to remember the performances being consistently this bad with most of our team available. Simply making the point that we have a performance director, yet our performances are very poor. Then made the point that the manager and players are easy targets, I didn’t say that they also weren’t part of the problem, or that I didn’t have an issue with them. In my opinion, this is the worst we have played since the takeover, and it’s considerably worse since the season started. Something has changed.
@stewartfraser2740Ай бұрын
IF schar had netted that chance, and Bruno had just booted that clearance upfield it would still just be plastering over what is an unsustainable way of playing at the moment. No easy fix is obvious as there appears to be too many faults coming home to roost which had been wrongly diagnosed last year as just too many injured players out and we'll be fine when they're back. Even after the joke of that window it was thought with Tonali and the advancement of the backs we would be ok but too much was never addressed; lack of a 6 to plug the gaps, reliance for too long on 433, drop off from certain players and not playing to Isak's advantages. Here I think we took too long to respond to Fulham's threats.
@hjc9912Ай бұрын
We’re Craig Dawson being stood anywhere else, Alex McCarthy not passing to Isak, & the ball hitting Outarra’s arm half an inch up his sleeve away from being on 3pts from Southampton, Bournemouth, Spurs, Wolves and Fulham, and even in the Spurs game we were battered. We should be way better with the resources Howe has available.

Proved in recent seasons that this squad is more than capable of good performances. It feels like each game we are like "right, big performance needed" and then you see a first half like that, and then just hoping for a player to produce the magic to save us. Worrying. Big week coming up.

There were moments when we could have got something out of the game. We have the talent to win games, but we are inconsistent. The energy, focus and drive that underpinned our game have dissipated. It's hard to differentiate whether we lack or are overconfident at times. You have to say events off the pitch have been disruptive. I'm not saying that is the only issue, but I feel it's having a perpetuating influence. It also feels like when we sign a player it creates more tactical issues than it solves. I hope this result stimulates a mental reset, and we see a positive response on and off the pitch.

I really thought we clicked against Wolves. Their goal was unlucky, but we bossed that game. I was excited for Fulham. I have a suspicion that the players have been eyeing the games ahead (especially the Carabao cup) and thinking, "We'd better pace ourselves and not overdo it etc." The Fulham result and the fleeting top of the table then become meaningless. Remember we are trying to get silverware from Carabao and FA cup. That's the only reason that I can see that we'd be so damn mentally switched off.

Point a finger and there’s always three pointing back at you. I’m tired of people pointing fingers… if I was Eddie Howe I would leave right now. The fans are pointing fingers, the board are pointing fingers and our top players, Gordon and Isak in particular want to be somewhere else so sell them and make some money. At the same time maybe fire Eddie and hand absolute power to Paul Mitchell… yeah I’m sure that’ll fix it. Why don’t we just appoint the highest ranked Geordie on fantasy football… maybe that’s what we need cos’ obviously under achievers sitting on the couch watching garbage on social media are the real experts! When I was a kid you supported your team through good times and bad…. the fans of today can’t even support their team through the good times. Slag me off all you want but I was in the stands at the Leaze’s end before you were born… so don’t bring my support into question!
