Quick tip, when clearing adds focus on the majors. The Tyranid enemy share a hive like mind. Once a major is killed the smaller enemy’s around it will either die or wonder around aimlessly looking for another major to follow orders from

We can all agree that 7:05 was cool af. Kick the bug off the edge and headshotting it mid air has got to be one of the most badass things I’ve seen in this game

Biggest tip don't play mission 4 and 5 chaos is way harder then tyrinads since they are almost all range

Chaos is also harder since killing a majoris does not auto kill the minoris around

Wish I had homies to play this this. 90% of the quick match randoms have tunnel vision and run off on their own. Fortunately, Substantial is doable with randoms. I gave ruthless a try on Assault at lvl 19 and I gave up just 10 minutes into the run. I don't think I'll return until I'm closer to 25 to compensate for the bad randoms. It also doesn't help that 80% of the randoms run Heavy and Bulwark. I'm level 19 and I've only had a game with like 2 snipers, maybe like 3 Vanguards. All other matches are my Assault, Heavy, and Bulwark nearly every time. Great tips

Shit, I'm finding substantial to be a wall, at least with random teammates. One of the things that sucks is that you've got to beat a difficulty level to get the gear that makes that difficulty level more manageable. I feel like my green weapons barely do any damage. I can only imagine how bad ruthless is.

Green is plenty fine for substantial you just have to be on top of interrupting the enemy’s that call for reinforcements or else it becomes a bad time very fast I started doing them at lvl 7 on my bulwark with green chainsword and pistol. If you use the plasma pistol a full charged shot can interrupt! Your probably just getting screwed by bad randoms not getting the interrupts try to take it into your own hands and I bet it makes a huge difference in your runs good luck!

@@hewraps I switched to melta vanguard and I've also definitely getting better at the game (I keep my health and armor pretty high more often than not now). Gonna give substantial another shot with this class tomorrow I think. Maybe my problem was partly class and weapon choices. Cheers!

Yes agreed. The map difficulty needs to be lowered. This game is way too hard. Also parry and dodge indicators are not accurate.

@Kaiesis Huh? I solo mission 1 of operations on Ruthless with a 25 Vanguard or 25 Bulwark. Vanguard is much, much faster. Achieve victory more often than not. Its a challenge but not too hard.

@@aaronhumphrey3514 Something to consider is weapon combos for your class. I play Vanguard [Level 15 doing ruthless with my friends who are Bulwark 17 and Sniper 17] and a big game changer for me was thinking about what i want my weapons to do. I have the knife for single targets like Majoris or Extremis and Melta for clearing the Minoris. The problem with not thinking about your weapon choice is that you could end up with say a melta and chainsword where your single target damage suffers. Or a boltgun and combat knife where your minoris clear suffers.

I recently tried to get back into Destiny and as soon as I played a strike i remembered why i stopped playing. One guy just runs through every room and gets every kill and then the game is over.

I literally upgraded to a level 22 on tactical and I almost got away at the end but then I died! And I was doing solo bc a lot of ppl tht match make with me don’t survive unless I’m doing all the work

I think I may be the only person who actually tried the blocking swords. You can still basically parry. So on the smaller ones that leap toward you, nothing changes at all, still an immediate execution. On the larger ones, you still press the input, and avoid taking damage. Not everyone wants to rely on parrying so much and some people just can't. If your one of those, use the extra damage of the blocking swords to trigger executions quicker, you'll still want to try for the same parry windows. But at least you'll have more damage to make up for failing them.

Accidentally went in with my vanguard at lvl 11 (3rd char) with melta. Only noticed halfway through game when i asked another dude which lvl this is. Also me and my buddy went in with our lvl 6 friend and it went quite well. Main recomendations: die divided or stand together. Difference between stupidy and heroism is often small. 2 nd for shooting classes- cover your melee's back and let him cover the front. Small retreats are viable, but dont forgets that often in this game best defense is offense. Also try to learn atleast a little a bit other classes, execpt for assault, it's probably gonna get a mini rework anyway. And last one melta-melta and sompod on grenade launcher is op. Use it while you can

Same here , best team composition for Ruthless I found with my friends was Bulwark / Sniper / Vanguard (me) , always clean without issues 1st time we did it was at lvl 15 for us

Lovin Space Marines do far! Playing a bulwark and sniper back up. So much fun building customizing my Marines armor! It's so rewarding unlocking new armor!!!

@@moti6151if this isn’t enough to justify 60 bucks then there are almost no games that do. Raw play time has ruined people’s perception of value. People don’t seek to have fun in games. They seek to be occupied. 8 hours of fun is worth less then 40 hours of distraction to a lot of people now. People would rather spend 40% or more of their playtime driving, walking, or flying to objectives as long as the final play time was long. Then they got their moneys worth.

Also playing Vanguard on Ruthless, and I find the combat knife better at taking down Majors faster. Yeah. not as much splash damage, but faster that the chain sword and better at the single mob dps.

The fencing weapon is 69 times better than other frames; it's ridiculous. A high-damage block hammer barely does more damage than the fencing hammer. I think damage stats on melee weapons don't really matter at all. The heavy class on Ruthless feels awful-0 ammo most of the time and has no melee while you NEED melee for 90% of the run.

Multi melter stomps on heavy. With plasma pistol I can clear ruthless fairly efficiently just don't waste ammo

Depends. Melee is far less important against chaos enemies as the rubric marines don’t swarm the same way and almost all enemies use ranged gun fire or spells. Heavy passive reduction to full party ranged damage plus the iron halo brings tons of value there. But yes against tyranids heavy feels a lot worse. You are very slow and vulnerable.

Running anything Substantial or Ruthless has just been a wall for me with randoms. So far 25 attempts on sub and not a single clear, I'll keep trying but I can't guess what my teammates will do

From the battle barge, interact with the console where you choose your operation. In the upper left there’s an option to change difficulty

Get your guy lvled up, at least 10 Fully understand and look to parry everything you can Heavy melta is pretty cheesy but will get your foot in the door as far as getting purple weapon data to do substan runs, but everyone doing heavy and bulwark rn so doing something else will be easier to find ppl if you have trouble with that
