The one thing I would add and this is just me - if you are a melee character (no primary), do not pick up the smaller ammo boxes without making sure a member on your team that has a primary needs them. 2 extra charged shots are not going to be that effective vs 90 extra rounds for the heavy, or 5 extra rounds for the melta.

First of all, I'm not going to dump on anyone for playing on minimal; if you're having fun and if thats where youre comfortable, do you. This ain't an easy game and if you just want to stomp bugs, have at it, don't let other people tell you how to have fun. But I'm going to tell you straight; I'm not great at this game, but I absolutely agree that you shouldnt be trying to grind XP on easy if you're willing and able to push on. I did one run in easy to get a feel for the mission, I get a character to 5 then I'm out, everything goes so much quicker.

Hell I've got 2 characters leveled to max and a full set of relic weapons, and will still frequently play on minimal, it's great for learning the common locations for armory data and good to run if you're wanting to unlock more customizations for your characters.

Heres a good explanation for the dodge thing. Stop playing it like Remnant or a souls game. The blue/red reticle isnt a dodge or parry indicator. Its a "HEY LOOK AT ME IM THE PRIMARY THREAT" signal. You use the reticle color to know which action you should PREPARE for. Then play it how you would if there was no reticle. (Watching the actual attack animation) When you see a Red Reticle: look at the Elite/Major/Extreme, then wait for the attack to come out. Once i realized it wasnt a reaction test and just an indicator, i was able to reliably avoid a lot of damage TLDR: yes the colors mean parry or not able to parry. But mainly its just telling you to watch that specific enemy for the animation

had a team mate down 9 times (playing selfishly) on one average decapitation play through. Died twice at the hive tyranid. I just quit simply at the end due to me not wanting to solo the boss myself (and give myself stress and tension) whilst you reap the rewards while being dead. I need the team support and some people just dont know how to support and expect me to carry. He messaged me a ? to why i quit at the end. I told him to play on easy until he gets better. He got mad at me for saying that. People have too big egos man.

The whole advice of stop playing on easy is 10000% the best advice. Not only does the EXP suck, if you're competent, your teammates likely aren't and it sucks having shitty team mates. I switched to Level 10 difficulty and it was NIGHT AND DAY. It felt AMAZING fighting along side those guys. It felt easier than easy because everyone was competent!

A minor tip, for now you can perform critical gunstrikes with 0 sidearm ammo. Might be a glitch though. Handy to know if ammo gets lean, especially for an assault or bulwark. (Edit: heavy too, come to think of it)

They definitely added some Dark Souls or Remnant mechanic with the dodge. Now I have to make sure to watch their animations before committing to the dodge. Sometimes I feel like I dodged an attack, only to be messed up by the attack. Gotta learn this more.

I'd add watch you co-players health. Don't pick up both Med-packs in a drop if one of your co-players is at almost Nil health and no med in storage. Same goes for armor bonus, if you have full health, and a co-player has almost Nil let them take the armor bonus. It'll help your co-players stay alive and in turn help you stay alive.

Mistake #2 Example The very first operation I ran there was this player maybe lv 8 - 11 was just constantly leaving my self and the third person behind over and over and over again. And a enemy wave came in and he did nothing but stand at the next threshold to advance to the next area. While the two of us had to deal with like 40 gaunts, 5 snipers and 8 warriors (something along those line) it was a terrible first experience.

One that i found was dodging and not immiditly punishing with a counter shot is smart against Majors. You can use that to exicute them once they are stunned and also you get the armor for an exicution. Faster then watching yhe animation the whole time and keeps the combat flowing.

Depends. You aren’t invincible during the focus shots so sometime the armor is immediately hit off as you get it. Executions are fully invincible so the extra armor is guaranteed and it pushes the small enemies away. So it’s something that you have to choose. It’s normally better to just do the execution unless you are doing something very specific

Had a guy in game who when Helbrute spawned was running all around a place so I had to solo it. It us not that hard but he took some hp of me (cause mistakes happend) and guy just sprint when execution is ready and steals it. While not helping with even a hit.

While i speed run minimal at around 12 mins. I rather farm early levels that way. But yes later levels definitely don't do that. So 1 and 2 isn't necessarily bad if ur speed leveling classes early on.

At higher difficulties it’s not really that simple. Putting your back to a mob and running is a great way to go down. You kinda gotta fight your way through the mob to get out safely. And that’s easier to do when your teammates don’t leave you high and dry. Not only that, but if a boss spawns then killing them gets you armoury data.
