Take notes. A way that's helped me is vary retrieve speeds this is just an example. 1 second fast then 1 second moderate then one second super slow pause 4 seconds. Then when you start new retrieve one second super fast pause one to two seconds repeat super fast an one second pause one more time. Pause for 6 seconds. No more than 3 casts per spot one cast right hand of water then left hand of water then straight. Sometimes if you want to covor more water fast one cast per spot. If you're doing a fast retrieve to catch fish don't fish so fast where fish can't get lure or soft plastic 9 times out of 10 going back to that spot fish is gone. Fish that struct moved on to where there's more food in other suited conditioned areas where there's food. Just a few helpful hints to keep in mind.

Fall pattern for October/ November is creek channel bends with wood. Throw a crank in red/perch color and crank it in the wood, right down in the limbs. Square billed, 6-8' diving bait and load the boat! This is a great pattern for tidal waters, even when the ice forms on the rod guides and those fish stay on that deeper wood all winter. Remember these spots, go back next year at about the same time and temperature, load the boat. Like he shows, fish after fish, they attract and hold them year after year. I've fished BassMaster Opens, this is a very viable pattern in late fall and start your search here in early spring as the fish move out to the flats.

Really appreciate crankbait content! Were you bouncing your crankbait off the bottom when you started catching them, or off of submerged structure? We are so conditions to having to make contact with crankbaits, and I was wondering if that is true most of the time.

@chrisjones33752 жыл бұрын
The water doesn't get cold enough for the bass to move deep like everywhere north. As the water gets cooler start looking for shallow muddy bottoms with wood cover and throw a spinnerbait or a jig.

There's alot of different ways to retrieve a bait use them. Fast one second pause one to two seconds. Then moderate pause 3 to 4 seconds. Then one super fast retrieve then pause 1 second repeat 3 to 4 times pause 5 seconds or how ever many seconds you want. For bigger fish try using moderate to slow retrieves vary between moderate to slow as really large fish don't generally utilisize alot of energy to catch food that's how they got huge in the 1st place.
