The fact that he made huge effort to cover up his crime- hiding her body changing clothes several times, wearing gloves, cleaning up after himself and trying to make an alibi shows that this wasn’t the actions of someone with schizophrenia

I’m proud of Phillip’s mother for not trying to defend her son’s actions and having sympathy for Colleen’s family. I’ve seen so many parents completely deny their child’s guilt and stand behind them blindly.

She was the picture of grace and compassion under fire. She made it clear who the victims were. I respect her deeply and I'm sure she wonders every day how her son could have been such a monster.

That’s because a lot of parents refuse to believe their child was capable of what they did. They believe their child is innocent because their child “is always well-behaved” or “has never exhibited any violent behavior”. Philip’s mother is one example of a mother who knew her child did something wrong and acknowledged it

@@ultimatewitcherfan6677 That’s like when people see their friend, aunt/uncle, brother/sister, etc. get arrested for killing or assaulting someone...even people who commit suicide! Their families are always like (s)he was never depressed, they were really kind, they would never hurt anyone, but the thing is...we don’t (obviously) know what’s going through someone’s head unless they say something. I don’t have kids but I kind of understand why parents would be insisting on their kid being innocent, but at the same time, we don’t know even our closest friends and family like we think we do 100% of the time.

I love my children dearly. But if one committed a heinous crime. I would want them to face punishment. I would always loved them. Stand by them. But there is no excuse to viciously attack and kill someone especially a crime like this. I would apologizing profusely to the family even though it can't bring their loved one back. Many parents believe their children can do no wrong even if evidence is overwhelming or their child admits to the crime. Blind love? Denial ? Probably. Its a shame crimes like this happen at all. 😟

Exactly what I was thinking too. We couldn't be roaming the halls of the school during classes, and he walked right by someone on their phone with that trash can - I was thinking that the person would be questioning why a student even had the trash can outside of the school, but maybe it was a good thing he wasn't stopped - whoever stopped him may have been killed as well.

At my high school, all faculty and staff had their own separate bathrooms near student bathrooms. Those bathrooms were also handicap accessible and had locks on them. Students were not aloud to enter those. Didn’t really stop students from using however. So, when I graduated in 2019, they’re were in process of the teachers scanning their school IDs to unlock the doors from the outside to be able to enter the bathroom, and still being able to lock from the inside.

Agree. We lost our son in a freak car accident and that is so hard to live with, because he was such a careful driver, and not a hoon, he needed his car to get to uni. His name was Philip too, but he couldn’t have been more opposite than this demonic evil monster ….I found out just how much he had effected people at his funeral, his old school did a memorial and planted a tree in his memory, the uni did a tribute to him in their magazine……hundreds of young ladies at his funeral and the parents of many who told me of all the things he used to do to help them and others, he was a beautiful son who never ever gave us a single argument. People still comment on things he did almost 17 years later, he certainly impacted many in such a positive way. Just like Colleen did, but she also got to live more years than our son. Colleens parents can at least know that their beautiful daughter helped so many, was also a loving and caring person who will be greatly missed by many, many people 💔💔💔 The killer should NEVER EVER be released, there is no way you could ever rehabilitate evil like him. Just lock him in a tiny cell and never let him see the light of day. I hate to think how many more he would have gone on to murder had he not been caught. He should NEVER have been given bail, hopefully that alone will stop him from ever getting released. !! Be at peace Colleen 🙏🏻🕯💞

I saw that entire CCTV footage last year. Couldn't sleep that night - what a monster Chism was and is! He attacked some servicewoman in the jail too. Hopefully, he would never get out. This guy is a danger to society. The iciness of his eyes, the way he coolly walks around the campus after the murder, the confidence he has while dragging out Colleen's body in a dumpster - everything about him is mortifying.

My feelings exactly. Or I cannot imagine carving out a path from your house to your neighbor’s, unlatching their garage door from the outside, using a key provided by the project manager for builder of your subdivision, and sneaky in and out of a woman’s house repeatedly over years robbing and vandalizing their home and doing God only knows what to the wife while she slept. Just to think of the mind of someone so diabolical to plan on robbing, vandalizing , terrorizing and violating someone in that manner. Imagine others in the subdivision, watching out for this criminal , including the police. But it happened, and ask me how I know, Gail McBride in Gwinnett.

What makes them commit such heinous crimes, and so remorselessly..?!?" To which he said " dont try to understand what you're not even supposed to understand..your brain is normal, theirs is not..leave the task up to me, so I can jail them for life .." No, I don't agree. A psychopath is an unemotional, narcissistic and unempathetic being. Some psychopaths are product of abuse/environment, some are born that way and in fact have a privileged upbringing... the mechanisms are still misunderstood but one thing is certain; its both genes and environment, with one weighing more than the other but it's impossible to determine which until the damage is done 😢

you may be able to understand psychopaths, but in order to do so, you'll have to completely shut down empathy and think like a psychopath and calculate your actions like one yourself. it's a dehumanizing dark path for the mind best not traveled. but if you can do that, and come back as a whole, you'll come to see the worlds of differences between your mind vs that of a psychopath.

Before everything, ok Phillip (you say) stunned Colleen with a "karate chop", a swinging strike with the hand held firm n the "chop" instead of a slap, punch, etc, ok so Colleen, I'm speculating that Phillip REALLY went full psycho WHEN HE SAW Colleen's panties around her thighs, DIRTY panties, n after that everything was just fantasy. There's another horrible crime a few years back of a woman being just spotted and horribly abducted and so brutally raped and just savagely finished off. And you see during the investigation that the guy who did it, was following another woman in walmart, the SAME DAY, and he was a black guy and he was following a white woman with big butt, big legs, small breasts, and ditzy face blonde, EXACTLY THE TYPE that Beverly hope Melton was. And exactly the type I am. And, this Black Man, He used a baseball bat n left Beverly naked, freshly r@ped of course, face up in a field , arms up legs open wide, n her skull was beaten so severely that there was blood and brains in a patch around the place where her head was and her head was just gone.
