You see, if you are Kim, you won't worry about the trade, you worry about revolution and foreign intervention. I recalled, either Pompeo or John Bolton literally said they want a "Libya denuclearization model" for NK. That's really not a comforting thing to hear for Kim, given what happened to Gaddafi. (to be fair, I'm pretty sure someone in the administration want sabotage the deal, there's absolute no way people with right mind would use the phrase "Libya denuclearization model" to Kim; that's like telling him "we will overthrow your regime once you don't have nuke anymore"...

I agree. It took a lot of guts for Trump to meet with him in the first place and he really is trying to make peace. I don't agree with alot of the things he does. But when it comes to north korea (after his initial dramatic responses) he really does try to make peace.

@@yvette7782 The reason the US doesn't meet with NK is that every time they have in the past, they get a bunch of promises, maybe lift a sanction or 2, and then NK goes back on EVERYTHING they agreed to. EXACTLY like they did this time. Having a sitting president of the United States meet directly with an ENEMY DICTATOR is actually giving a concession away before the meeting even starts and sets a bad precedent for other bad actors. Not to mention it costs the US taxpayers an estimated 6+ million dollars just for this one failed trip. Trump may be "trying" to make peace, but he is actually making things worse by not going through state department negotiators.
