Can we just take a moment to realise that the thing he's calling a "windmill" is actually a "wind turbine"? A windmill was used to mill grain, while a wind turbine is used to generate electricity.

@cj p I live in Kansas. We have wind turbines everywhere. Lots of space, open air, literally no issue. You talk as if wind energy is going to supplant all other forms of renewable energy as the sole source of power. Frankly, as Hamidkhan says, you're an idiot.
@mikeblatzheim2797
@mikeblatzheim2797 5 жыл бұрын
@cj p The blade pitch is centrally controlled via computer. Literally no problem. As for maintenance, wind turbines have a maintenance shaft inside, and all generators etc. are in the housing on top. The blades themselves do not have to be maintained, only the electric motors that turn them. There are harness points on top. Also no problem. Servicing radio towers or cleaning skyscraper windows is much more dangerous.

@@Ren-db4hi He's saying that Trump is wrong about how wind power works. And some birds die due to windmills, but as Ryan said, feral cats kill more birds every year than windmills do. Also, WAY more birds are killed by oil spills every year than by windmills.

Do feral cats kill Eagles too?
@shinigamiryan5837
@shinigamiryan5837 5 жыл бұрын
@@suddeysabdulbasat1963 If injured, than certainly. Bald eagles have flown into populated cities, where feral cats can be found. Though feral cats will kill an array of birds, while wind turbines only kill birds that try to go near it or nest in them. In my studies, the amount of birds turbines kill may kill up to 50k or so, but feral cats kill at a generous guess of over 1 billion birds. The stark difference there. Other things killing birds are higher, but feral cats take the cat, since they naturally hunt them.
@shinigamiryan5837
@shinigamiryan5837 5 жыл бұрын
@@Ren-db4hi Well to a degree. It does generate electricity through the blades spinning, than is stored and eventually distributed to the grid it's connected to. Most wind turbines do have a maximum speed and will shut off if the wind is too high or too low. This is a safety net as the battery can only take so much in. Wind turbines are a form of a generator, but also act as storage units, which is common for those especially on off shore due to distance and location. Off shore wind turbines also have had some plans to work with some form of hydroelectric generation, though their mostly in testing last time I checked awhile back, but that may change as those were being developed in Europe last time I recall.
@shinigamiryan5837
@shinigamiryan5837 5 жыл бұрын
@@Ren-db4hi This is true, but bird deaths related to wind turbines are actually low. Though do not use wind mills as they aren't turbines in the case of what Trump is saying they are. Wind mills found in rural areas on farms are rather small and were mainly used for grain production or very basic electrical generation. Turbines meanwhile are massive and have been prone to bird deaths, though most studies rank them on the lower side. They can kill up to around 50k+, while feral cats can average beyond 3 billion. Not only that, but his beef comes from years prior as stated in the video. This kind of beef over sea views occurred in Massachusetts for an off-shore wind power program which was set off cape cod (a lot of rich folk and heavy tourist location in the summer). The project had been on hold for years due to people saying it'd ruin the view, despite the fact that turbines would of been miles away from the shore line and leave a minimal impact on the view. Not only that, but most wind turbine parts actually have origins in Scandinavia, due to how many they've set up and Europe being one of the leaders in it's utilization. The project in Mass. came to a close due to the company hiring some Euro folk after years of being stalled and essentially breaking their contract. This is why the electric company were the first to back out, before the company on the project couldn't afford the space (mostly due to being stalled by the rich locals). The bird thing is just a nice way for the wealthy to cover up their desire to make everything pristine and clean (in their eyes).

There are 240 carbon atoms in 1 coal atom. 1 in natural gas. 0 in the atmosphere (wind). What does this mean? If complete combustion is achieved CO2 and H2O is the result. If incomplete combustion is achieved CO (Carbon Monoxide) and H2 (Hydrogen) is the result. CO2 is converted by plants back into oxygen. And H2O is water. CO deadly poisonous explosive gas. H2 the same. Again what does this mean? The more Carbon atoms in a fuel requires more oxygen atoms for complete combustion. The required amount of oxygen to achieve complete combustion of coal is 240 times that of natural gas. That means 240 times that of CO2 released, and in cases of incomplete combustion 240 times the CO. Wind requires no exothermic reaction, combustion, or fuel to create energy. In conclusion, Coal is not clean, natural gas cleaner, and wind cleanest.

@@williamgrandone7287 pretty good seeing how I never truly cared for the wall but would like better enforcement at the border.

@@Heavy_Controller Well a silly ass and expensive wall isn't going to do it. Look at a MAP and you will see two things called the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Do you think that Latinos can't manage a boat? Drug cartels are bringing in dope by submarine If you want to stop the drug trade- quit buying the drugs. If you think Mexicans are taking our jobs ask yourself how many white people are picking tomatoes in California or cleaning hotel rooms for less than minimum wages? And if Trump is so fucking concerned about Latinos in the job market why has he hired so many of them?
