I think the long & segmented acceptance speech is just a plus at this point. As per what was said in the last discussion, not a ton of people are tuning into the whole speech. A lot of people are just going to see the cut ups in the days/weeks following on social media. I'd imagine a good amount of folks will just see the call for unity and remembrance for the victims of the tragedy on Saturday. This is already anecdotally proving itself just glancing at the various view counts here on youtube for different cut-ups of the speech. The folks that want the typical Trump stump speech will also find those videos. Meaning the critique of the "tale of two speeches", might not be noticed by a lot of people. They'll see whatever the algorithm pushes to them and assume that to be the speech.

Trump speech was way too long and rambly, typical Trump. It was self indulgent and weird. It went so late that I would guess only real political nerds watched it. This was a fail. He should have made it short. Not appealing to independent voters.
