This is my greatest fear tbh. The man is not going to allow himself to go to prison, and frankly if he does half of what he's promised, the next president can and should use his immunity to throw Trump in Guantanamo. I think if it's not explicit, it will be begged for on the left and implicitly promised or at a minimum dog whistled. If the left actually learns anything, it's that allowing crime to go unpunished is what got us here. On a more meta note, if we fail to rebuild our courts into actual pillars of law that don't favor the rich, I think we will get a true ideological fascist and a far greater threat to our democracy than Donald Trump (a narcissist who is open to any methods but isn't an ideologically committed fascist imo) sometime in the 2030s. If dems aren't running on law and order and the rebuilding of institutions, checks and balances I fear we're just delaying our doom a bit. MAGA isn't going away, a voter base for fascism will remain with us for decades.

WE SHOULD STOP BEING POLITICALLY-CORRECT. I studied the big picture about human nature for 60 years. Directly communicate with conservatives and treat them like a member of the human family. Be honest with them and don't worry about hurting their feelings or appearing to be a non-spiritual person. Then they will actually listen (the ones who aren't mentally deranged). Conservatives are the lower "chakras" and liberals are the upper and for thousands of years tribal people haven't divided themselves into liberals and conservatives because that only causes conflict. However, right now the lower chakras, or conservatives, are consumed with fear because they have less strategies for dealing with fear. All people are afraid of the future even they don't admit it. The conservative's anger and cruelty come from their mob-like fear. Talk with them, communicate with then, and don't marginalize them (well, the ones who aren't mentally deranged).
