Tesla has lost forty per cent on its share price in the last year, and people like me will now never buy his vehicles (I don't have that view on literally any other manufacturer in the world). X is losing advertisers at some speed while competitors are gaining them. So I don't know about Alexander, but while I accept Musk may be cleverer than I am academically, I know enough not to not insult my customers. Sadly, Rain Man doesn't understand that.

Does he not know that those "diverse crowds" he thinks he's seeing is always at least somewhat stage managed?: The small number of black people who attend his (shrinking) rally's are always shunted to the stands behind the podium, and they're as often as not hired to stand there. A negligible percent of black folks are pro-Trump. The Republican party is 90 to 95% white. He's correct that the divide is regional, and that many states are locked in for Trump, but most of those states' likely voters are white, and their population overall is quite low. Because we have the undemocratic institution of the electoral college that makes a world of difference. He seems to have a few fundamental misunderstandings.
