Bilefin is actually surprising useful because it gives you a taunt minion in a deck otherwise filled with Murlocs. It's useful to stop your opponent being able to trade for something important, like Warleader, Tidecaller, etc.

the problem with this deck: you have to play the quest turn 1. Slows you down, and quest takes away a mulligan so your early game is always weaker than other aggro decks.

You don't have to, you can mulligan the quest away or play murloc tidecaller turn one. You can see an example of this where he made the decision not to play tide caller turn one because of N'zoth's first mate plus patches would kill it, but it was a quest warrior so that particular scenario would not have happened that game.

Yeah, with a lot of quest decks, people are way too religious about always playing the Quest on Turn 1. It's quite often not the correct play. It's really only Quest Rogue that always automatically should go Quest Turn 1, and even with that deck there are exceptions.

What about a bare bones Murloc quest. Slow version. Call the finishers x2, Murloc warleader x2, and Finja. Then construct a deck around using the murloc quest for a control archetype, with hand refilling abilities, and elise and taunt dragons. Hmm

God, I love this expansion on a high concept. All the terrible cards that would never be played normally are almost meta defining. Cards like Silence, Secret Eater, and Black Knight are usually too weak to survive in any other meta. But in this one, they're absolutely necessary, and that's hilarious. Playing the meta, on the other hand, feels like a dirge, unless you're Pay 2 Win, and even then it's still difficult to climb the ladder without it feeling like grinding just to get to the next hard rung. At least the clips are funny to watch as the pros continue to react to the dumb cards people play. I'd love to see people start playing Iron Beak Owl and Big Game Hunter again.

Silence, secret eater and black knight are not meta defining, silence is just a card in silence priest which is a tier 2 deck at best. Black knight is a tech card vs decks that have taunt minions, it always had the potential to see play in every expansion. Same goes for Secret Eater, only that card only counters mage which isn't a strong class atm. Also stop complaining about p2w, look at the amount of f2p players out there, look at Trump's f2p account, paying doesn't give you any advantage, it only makes you collect cards faster.

Nick S Stop being a smartass, you can get those cards without paying a single penny, it's not an advantage. An advantage would be "premium cards" that you can only get from "premium packs" that you can only buy for real money. But that doesn't exist in this game (and hopefully never will).

Steven Glikin It's an advantage per expansion, which I'll explain in a bit. It's also an advantage due to most F2P players being casuals who don't want to grind for gold to get every card needed for an expansion. That's why it's an advantage per expansion. I have two accounts: a F2P account and a P2W account. I have found the F2P account to be nearly unplayable since League of Explorers/The Grand Tournament because I could never get enough cards in time for them to be relevant for the meta, and that is most likely the point of Nick's comment. I don't know about you personally, but I'm not a fan of getting my teeth kicked in by quest Warrior/Rogue/Mage and control Paladin because I didn't grind for several weeks to get all the legendaries and epics on a F2P account!

+Steven Glikin paying gets you the cards needed for a good deck the day the expansion comes out. f2p has to either save up gold from last expansion, basically not having a meta deck for 6 months, or have a deck that gets rotated into wild for the new expansion.

He had another war leader in his deck, and had the quest completed with his hand, while being ahead in cards and the warrior had shown a likely lack of aoe, if that board stuck, he would have won the game, and he forced his opponent to use an answer. All in all, I say it wasn't a terrible misplay

8:10 How the hell do you NOT play a Tidehunter there? I was thinking about it the whole previous turn! Like "Oh maaan, this next turn right after brawl, it's going to be nuts!" And then he just mouses over it and fails to play it? Damn. Now I get it. I started wondering why he didn't at least play it after the finishers and remembered about board space. But still, It would've been a 7/2 Tidehunter, and besides Primordial drake, there's no damage AOE in Warrior.
