Glad that factorio added a circuit for the whole belt line rather than connecting a circuit for each and every belts. And the design is amazing

Sushi’s best use case is when an output needs tons of ingredients. Labs need like 12 different items now and space belts will want to dump extra chunks that cause overflows

I just made something like this. Tldr: its a chaotic mess of wires. The "manufactory" segment of my base will take in items and drop them randomly into chests. On the other side of that is - inserters connected to deciders which tell the trains when we need more stuff - deciders connected to assemblers which teml the inserters what to pull out of the chests. It can be kinda slow if I'm lacking specific items based on where I put them along the belt. It could be a lot better 😅
@wrathofainz8 сағат бұрын
There belt feeds back into the chests and there's a decider to tell the input side of things to hollup if the belt is backed up so it can fix itself.
@WackoMcGoose6 сағат бұрын
...As opposed to Satisfactory, where sushi should be avoided for everything _not_ headed to an Awesome Sink, since machines can't pull from mid-belt.
@ralfw74639 сағат бұрын
I used to do sushi belts by connecting every inserter counting pulse and inverting those witch take from the belt.

A random distribution means random inserter waiting times.

Can you do some videos on circuit and network logistics? Some things i want to see are setting up recipe switching on Chemical Plants based on Total (network) items or fluid as a comparison to identify a bottle neck due to full storage or empty storage. Factory may not be running perfectly 24/7 on every product for new players so even if the perfect ratios of advanced oil and chemical etc. you might actually not be drawing enough sulfur, burning enough solid fuel for electricity, or maybe consuming tons of plastic but not much lube because you only have it set up for electric engines so far.. a "capacity or lackthereof" type recipe swap or otherwise could be incredibly useful so youre not forever chasing a different fluid or item issue when a temporary (automatic) swapping could get you closer to "optimized" Can you also explain how / when someone would "isolate" certain circuit things vs putting things on the electric grid (to be on the logistics network?) like you mentioned belts tied here, is that a "global" or "local" signal..? how can people keep them isolated or do you want everything network connected? such as chemical plants are actually far away from your storage tanks.. what do you risk by connecting them to a network instead of adding a small storage tank and only checking "local"? Yes there are a few people that have done this in the past but they glaze over details people need in order to build upon the ideas shown and non-experts dont have a clue what still applies to 2.0 and space age. So if you do, can you actually explain the connections, logic, and at least show every little window or setting tweaked? perhaps include some basic blueprints so people can open up what youve done to follow along in your videos to better understand? Cheers!

Why is it called Sushi? Never understood why it's called this way.
@Puschit110 сағат бұрын
Because japanese sushi parlours do have a belt system where small plates with different sushi is placed. The belt goes around every table and you just take whatever you want. In the end your plates are counted and you pay accordingly. The plates are colour coded for different prices. In the center of it all is the chef preparing new plates depending on what is missing on the belt.

search "Conveyor belt sushi" you can read wiki article about it, its pretty much inspiration (at very least from the naming scheme) of the factorio sushi belt
