TRUTH is FINALLY revealed in ACOLYTE EPISODE 7-too late in the Season?

We finally get answers in this weeks episode titled “Truth.” What REALLY happened on Brendok? What did Sol do? Are the Jedi at fault? We get answers… but I’m not sure they are satisfying enough to carry us into the finale.

Not sure about this theory, but perhaps Master Torbin quickly progressed through the ranks because after the incident on Brendok, perhaps he joined another section of the Jedi Order, devoted to maintaining archives, or study texts/holocrons. Sidenote, I googled Olega and I found it absolutely hilarious that the first thing that popped up was a hair remover product. That explains Torbin's hairline...

You guys never fail to put to words my thoughts and even create or inspire new thoughts around Star Wars as a story, and also some insights into the potential thinking about film and tv in general. WISH Torbin had some actual pull towards wanting to go home explained, something that would hold sway over a monk that has trained body and mind for approximately 15 or so years. in the high republic books a book loving padawan is sent with a group of knights to travel away from the jedi temple, and he is reluctant to leave, but over the course of his journey he learns that this single mindedness in interest is kind of a mild flaw, and he begins to see the value of stepping outside of his comfort zone. for someone like Anakin or Ahsoka it's the opposite, the lack of adventure and action is an unliked situation for them. I think we needed more on these characters if this was the kind of story they wanted to tell. I hope writers can learn from this shows success and shortcomings to make more entertaining material going forward. AND YES! WHERE'S MY MIDICHLORIANS!!! (edit: spelling mistakes and punctuation)

Headland has stated that the mother was transforming herself and Mae into the Force, which makes her actions even worse when you remember Osha and Jecki’s conversation about killing the bat creatures. Sol absolutely did the right thing, which is not what the series was intending

My only big issue with the show at the moment is that 3&7 should have opened the series in a single hour long episode. 7 was filled with things we already saw in 3 anyway. Big mysteries are 1. How did Mae survive and meet Qimir? 2. What is Qimir connection to Vernestra?

Hey guys, thanks again for a good faith break down of the episode. I'd would like to throw out the idea that the reason we are seeing all this Grey instead of Black and White morality, is that the outside world is just now beginning to wrestle with the fact that in life, there is no pure good and evil. This is simply Star Wars' take on that same conversation. Star Wars to date, has sewn the thread of morally Grey into its stories since Obi-Wan in New Hope, this is just a more overt conversation about it. As children we can take comfort in thinking of our enemies as evil, but as we mature, we need to begin to understand that just because others believe differently than we do, that does not make them evil.

Your conversation regarding the fallout show and how they weaved their backstory within the present story was spot on. Way too many problems with the show and not any of the actors fault. Imagine if they weaved their flashbacks in this story within other episodes and keeping the run times closer to an hour i think would have greatly benefited. There is absolutely no momentum going into series finale. Comparing this show to other major shows out right now such as the boys and house of dragon, those shows are greatly superior in every way. I’m still hopefully for that home run Star Wars show which encompasses something exciting well written but is fully immersed with Star Wars universe.

The kylo theme seemed random when watching but thinking on it afterwards I think the theme during the kelnacca fight means it must be tied to the witches power (and therefore the twins) because they are (possibly!) a dyad and Kylo was a dyad with Rey.

Best case is that show gets a new show runner for the next season and delve into adapting a legend sith story live action. Make it prestige hbo style production, writing, and editing. 1 hr long and 8 - 10 episodes. Mage it a TV show, not a long film cut up into TV show format

Great stream guys - just a quick correction. Obi-Wan was knighted at 25 in TPM, and made a master at 35. Anakin was knighted at 19 at the beginning of the Clone Wars.

I was looking forward to The Acolyle but 1st episode when Osha crashed the Jedi would of taken a least a week to get there to recuse her- their is no way without somesort of intervention Osha would of survived. But then the show got worse.

Overall, I have different likes and dislikes for Star Wars than you two because I can enjoy things that I see have good potential, even if the execution is clunky. For example, I think that’s why I like The Acolyte, Rogue One, and the Last Jedi more than you seem to. On the other hand, you’re not wrong to want good quality and have critiques when it doesn’t deliver, and your criticisms have value. It’s another way we all have our own Star Wars.

Glad to finally see the Wookie fight (that was too expensive to film for other offerings? Okie doke.). I do TIRE quickly though of the whole "throwing" propensity of far-more powerful characters in storytelling. If you were holding someone by the head/throat and could pop his head like a pimple, would you really need to worry about lightsabering him in the side? Doubtful. Torbin, who that might have become a Jedi Master after say, losing a leg and overcoming a disability, might have had more reason to kill himself because he couldn't _______________ or that he thought he got his quick ascension to Jedi Master because of his disability - SOMETHING that would give meat to his propensity to kill himself.

Mae delivering ANY information to the Jedi is a complete MISS for me. Mae, and her "Jedi-Bad" inner feelings are completely contradictory to anything she showcases inside this episode to the Jedi. Her stance likely should have been much like a young Sovereign Citizen to the Jedi - which would have added more stark contrast to Osha's want to BE a Jedi.

Yeah. This show's pretty ass. Though, it's had good and great moments. I was really holding out until what I assumed would be a crazy "penultimate" episode, but I just can't find it in me to get excited about the last episode in any way.
