Bruce lee talked the talk I have yet to see him walk the walk. Philosopher yes, fighter still needs to be proven. His legacy as a fighter is all word of mouth, I have not seen Bruce lee fight a full contact fight ever. Point sparring fighting demonstrations is not fighting and that’s what he did exactly. Also his quote about water is not his, that was written hundreds of years before he was ever born, by a man named miyamoto musashi the creator and author of the book of five rings, a samurai warrior who paved the way of the samurai bushido code of warrior class. He would have read that book and stole that very quote, bruce lee is taking credit for someone else work. The Japanese till this days uses that book as their bible for cultural lifestyle and business

I love that quote at the end about McGregor. Bruce was bullied too, so was McGregor and so are a lot of people who choose to get into martial arts, to better themselves, protect themselves and those around them. I love that Conor's took it to the big stage and I love that Bruce chose not to fight. They are both walking talking examples that you can get through anything that life's throws at you if you believe in yourself and apply yourself. *bows*

I found J. Krishnamurti at 19 through his book “Think On These Things” and it changed my perspective entirely, which in turn began changing my life for the better. I couldn’t recommend a better perspective to learn from. That Bruce Lee was familiar with Krishnamurt is not surprising, although I knew that for quite some time. Excellent video MS. Thank you.

Superb! Brotha, Watching your videos are the first and last things I do in a day. Everything you talk about has been swirling in my head since I discovered "The Tao of JKD" in '95. Ever since, I've been training and growing. Really wondering why no pro fighter used those concepts of JKD. (but that age is finally here). In sparring I'd have people confused, could never figure me out. They would later pick my brain, asking me what style was that of mine. Is it TKD? or KARATE? GUNG FU? I'm like "nope". Then they'd see me boxing and they'd ask me if I was pro. "No man", I'd responded; "I'm just a guy who WORKS in his garage; diligently". I should 've known, that "being like water" had something to do with it. AND NOW, BECAUSE OF YOUR VIDEOS. I KNOW. These are not just my thoughts. My (crazy) thoughts. There are people out there, across the globe; who share the same philosophy of life, which; I feel saved my life. Things like calmness, inner peace, honestly expressing one self, synchronicity, flow are an everyday thing in my life and it was all ignited that day a confused college dropout picked up a book called "Bruce Lee's Fighting Method", went home and started working on my finger jab. Now, I'm a Martial Arts Instructor and have been since '97. And I'm also a Profesional Actor. A working Actor. I believe that SPIRIT is ALL and WE''RE ALL SPIRIT and when we let go of our struggling-egotistical fantasies...WE CAN FEEL SPIRIT, BE SPIRIT, then everything FLOWS. It ALL feels EASY...then in a flash, there IT is...it finally sinks in...this is the ultimate state, the state of all states, the style of no style... THE ART OF FIGHTING WITHOUT FIGHTING("yourself"). Thank you my friend your videos had set me straight, they had shown me that my connection to AKASHA is great and constant, and that that little nucleus of light you show in your videos, looks the same as the one that appears to most people who meditate, the one I see when I meditate... in the words of Dory...Are you my conscious?! :Dlol

Hey, just wanted to know is the "flow state" that feeling when the hairs on your body go up and have that "tingling feeling?" your mind feels as if it's racing like a heart beat?
@raycamm27777 жыл бұрын
If you're talking about the nervous feeling or the goose bumps feeling that you get when something is touching and moving, then no. Flow state is when your mind is calm and not intruded upon by other thoughts. Taking for example sky diving. Say you were a very professional sky diver and you did it as a living. Your flow state would feel euphoric and blissful, and your focus would not be on what you ate that day or the relationship issues that you share with those around you. Your focus would sole about how you feel in the moment. Also, your thinking is not stumped by anything, rather it is a constant, continuous wave of higher thinking. Hence the term, 'flow state.'

Musicians often say the same thing. The best of us are always learning, or creating new ways to approach things. As for Lee's views on religion, I'm basically on the same page. I don't think any religion has all the answers when it comes to our origins. It's cool if you think otherwise, but I approach my scientific skepticism and spirituality with the intent to find balance between the two.
