Thank you for your help in understanding the scripture you bring it to light easy to understand you are a true blessing to me I been following your sermon for about three years now I started listening to you while I was in prison I was truly bless to find your program on the radio I have a very long struggle in my life with addiction and gang style life and prison gang all due to being stuck in darkness and selfishness I know God Has always been with me through my whole life I look back and see we’re only one pair of footsteps we’re Thank God For carry me through all the difficult hard times I took my self through He TrueType had mercy on me and brought me up out of all those dark times I love The Lord for reviled his love for me also thank you Mr Begg for your sermons and teachings on Gods precious Word it our life guide book of understanding the world as it is then now and the future amen respectfully a brother in Christ Jesus Martin John Madueno

Servant is what one does...Slave is what one IS...I'm a Slave of Christ seeings how He purchased me with His blood and suffering, as my sin, for me.

Slave doesn't have free will or a choice. We have a choice to serve Christ. That is free will. We are only slaves to sin as we are automatically born sinners. We choose to serve Christ. Serve as a servant

@@rachelleh5237 Our free will is to choose to, or not, see that we're dirty before/compared to a thrice Holy God, while we choose to repent to a degree initially, the rest is in the provinces of the Holy Spirit. We renew our mind and set it towards God. Once were born again, which is of God, totally, we are now in Christ, He bought our now, eventual cleanliness before God, on the cross, with his blood and Gods wrath, for all believers. That is a purchase, He owns you now. We still sin since the dead carcass still clings to us in this life, but all believers were bought, were owned. The service/good works proves were born again, we do them out of love because He loved us first.

@@kennnuthatch5724 it is more like an adoption. We are not his slaves, even after salvation we have free will to choose to follow him wholly, partially or not at all in which He will decide to bring His child home. We are not slaves we are his children

@@rachelleh5237 I guess my thinking on this comes from the Greek words kurios, meaning master lord etc. referring to Christ, The Father etc. and doulos, meaning slave which is how Paul for example, described himself. The bible words have been readjusted to use servant or bond servant because of the stigma of "slave" specifically in regards to the situation in early United States history as well as elsewhere in the world.
