Hi Phil, I started following you for a month now, and I really like how you start your videos by first explaining every details of what your going to do in your videos. Follow by how you make sure your athletes are doing the exercises using proper body mechanics. I don't do mixed martial arts, but I do work with athletes for power, strength and agility and other areas of sports. I'm always learning from different trainers from different sports. Keep up the great work.

Great info. I was always scared of loading rotational exercises because I thought it can lead to back pain but that t-spine exercise doesn't look so threatening. Thanks for sharing.

You are killin’ it with these uploads coach! Knowledge, explanations, demonstrations, video quality, everything is top notch! Question for that t-spine rotation exercise: I noticed that you hold your breath during rotational phase, I’ve always thought that you should exhale when rotating. Could you please explain that cause I suppose it is better that way since you are the boss and know what you are doing all the time? Greetings from Bosnia!
@PhilDaruStrong6 жыл бұрын
Em Sparrow thank you for that I’m breathing and bracing in before I rotate then blowing the air back out when I go back to neutral. I appreciate the support brother

Morning coach(from India), just want to know your views on bodyweight training for mma, exceptionally I include deadlift or now my favorite zercher squats... I asked this question after watching conor McGregor' knockout power while he mostly does only calisthenic stuff... Pls guide..
@PhilDaruStrong6 жыл бұрын
Amit Bhardwaj Conor has KO Power only through leverage and his precision his ability to produce is there but it comes from the leverage he has on his punches through limb length and where he places his shots. I do like bodyweight exercises of course but to increase maximal force production you have to load the body with external means.

Hey man, appreciate your work. Do you think there should be any minimal requirements for weightlifting for fighters? For example, how much one should squat or bench press? For instance, 80kg fighter should squat 2 of his body weight or its unnecessary?
@PhilDaruStrong6 жыл бұрын
Еркин Токмагамбетов they need to be relatively strong for their size to minimize injury and to enhance force production
