Thank you! Improvisation is great for being more comfortable in the written notes when you get lost and can just play around until you find yourself in the roadmap of the music. You just validated that for me. Thanks again.

Yes that would be great to see you play an example. Hopefully something not too advanced😊

@@LearningtheHarp Yes. It still takes me about 2 minutes to play a 30 second piece By the time I read the notes and look back at the strings a couple of 100 times trying to place my fingers on the right ones :) Definitely a work in progress

Thank you Christy-Lyn! Beautiful and inspirational as always! The point of playing the harp as I see it is to bring joy to my heart and the hearts who hear my harp strings. My harp strings pull on heart strings...and thank you for your beautiful harp strings and heart strings!

This is something I've been trying more of lately and it does feel quite joyful! I'd love to hear you expand on it some more and demonstrate how you do it. Thanks!

hi, maybe this has been said in a previous video but i was watching the sailing on a lake video and i was having trouble following her fingers , so i slowed the youtube speed down to .25, and it worked great. Just wanted anyone who didn't know that you can do this.

Hi Christy I hope your ok. I think maybe if anyone has a smaller harp playing outside in nature can be inspirational. One question id like to ask my dream would be to eventually teach once I get to a great standard. Other than obviously working through grades do I need any other qualifications to teach please. Thankyou for your help xx

Hi Carly. Yes, playing outside with my Harpsicle is lots of fun!! I think there are some videos on my channel somewhere... ☺️ To answer your question about teaching, I would say that it depends on who you want to teach. To teach classical harp for children who aim to be professional orchestral players, I think its important to have studied deeply in this manner yourself, and qualifications usually go along with that. But if you want to teach harp to adults who are learning for fun, most students just want to know that the teacher is a proficient player, and able to teach well. Qualifications aren’t an important factor to most adult students. Hope that helps!

I usually start and finish my practice session doing just that! I love the Prelude from Final Fantasy, and I usually experiment a little on that. I started doing that because I don't have enough strings to play the whole thing (or levers for that matter), so I play with it and It's really fun! Thanks for your videos, as usual
