@lizacrochets98
@lizacrochets98 Ай бұрын
She already knew the recipe and had done it before. The whole point of the show is for them NOT to know and wing it . She cheated as well as telling others how to fix their mistakes and that gave them the upper hand . Marissa needs to stay in her lane and play fair
@zarajn6982
@zarajn6982 Ай бұрын
@@lizacrochets98 She had never made croquembouche before, she had just made the cream that goes inside on Phoning It In. If that's cheating, then Zach and Keith could easily be said to be cheating from all the times they've done Without a Recipe before and the mistakes they made and things the judges explained. And she didn't even know the recipe for that - she remembered the ingredients, but she was still guessing the amounts.

I saw that grant was on the judging panel and i was very excited since he has been on the channel before and i genuinely enjoy his sense of humour but him as a judge - its a no from me i saw the negative comments and assumed that it just wasn't their sense of humor but boy was i wrong it was clear at the start that grant barely new anything about the dish but his rudeness and general vibes of trying to bring the chefs down was shocking WAR judges usually say what they like about the dish and do some snarky comments but grant he was plain rude and tried to make it about him with some unfunny jokes definitely keep him of WAR in the future

Edit: Totally agree! I haven’t seen many (maybe one or two) negative comments about Grant…do you think that they were deleted by the Try Guys? I remember a couple years ago a judge was also super negative so they had to shut the comments off or something lol. I was very disappointed by the negativity by Grant, it seemed like the other try guys were uncomfortable too. It was like he thought he was being funny but came off as straight up harsh and rude :(

I haven't watched the finale yet, but just wanted to share honest feedback about this series. Always fun watching everyone scramble around every episode, but I really prefer when the contestants have at least a vague idea of what the thing is that they're supposed to be making. I loved previous seasons when they knew they were making a cake or whatever and so could spend their energy making it as creative as possible instead of just making guesses about what the thing their making is even supposed to be. Just more interesting to me

They're definitely given some instruction ahead of time. Obviously not much but there's no way they're going in completely blind and still managing to come up with anything even close to some of these recipes. I do agree that the earlier seasons were better though, I think they kinda went too complicated with the recipes this time around.

Ryan deserved this just for having no existing idea how to do the pastry and actually MOSTLY figuring it out purely based on vibes. Yes, this time, there were eggs! That's it, that's actual cooking skill starting to form right there, and derived entirely from failing to cook and watching other people fail to cook! This is like the essence of Try Guys, that they managed to mess up into someone actually KINDA VAGUELY knowing how to create a croquembouche from first principles.
