Honestly though, "I lack the boobs for all of these dresses and I don't want to stuff my bra out" isn't much better. Maybe a little bit but really not much. Since in germany we have something similar to prom at 13/14 yo I was literally still flat as a chopping board because I'm a late bloomer (and not very voluptuous now either)... try finding even a single dress that doesn't require boobs to make it look good - spoiler, I found 2 and a half in SEVERAL DAYS of shopping, one not my size, the second simply draping enough (essentially the top layer was one big square with a hole for your head) that it didn't matter at all and the half being one with enough ruffles that it wasn't too obvious the chest piece hung down in awkward wrinkles. It was actually bad enough that I considered the bra stuffing option... but then again I really didn't want to deal with my classmates reaction to that :b

@@darkylinky288 there are many plus-sized stores that have tall sizes! but if you look at how the dresses flatter the other guys, they don’t really flatter keith unless they completely obscure his frame. aside from the cut, some of the dresses simply don’t fit his chest/bust measurements. it’s unfair to stick him in the same sizes if they won’t work or make him feel good, especially after talking so extensively about women’s fashion and body image.

as much as i hate seeing keith talk negatively about himself, he is truly highlighting the prom shopping experience for anyone outside a 'normal' size range! obviously here it's not entirely the same because prom dresses aren't made with male bodies in mind, but the sentiment still stands. i almost didn't go to my prom because of how difficult it was for me to not only find a dress that I loved, but was in my size. everything I found and fell in love with, did not come anywhere near my size. thankfully, I found a gorgeous dress from selkie that came in my size and wore that (I actually got so many compliments I was kinda stunned). but despite me finding a dress, it was still a miserable and self-esteem ruining experience trying to find something, especially when every department store plus-size section looks like you just raided your grandma's closet. I'm 18 and want to look cute and flirty, not like I'm borrowing grannie's sheets and rationing for the next war

You won’t trip on the dress, you can dance easier and you will feel like royalty. If the dress still isn’t as poofy as you want, remember petticoats are your friend. To complete the look, a tiara will make you look/feel like a princess. Remember you will look like a million bucks regardless :D Source: Size 18 (UK) ball gown for Prom.

When I got back to school the following Monday I walked into the room we ate lunch in and everyone got quiet. @zombiesinflannels2 жыл бұрын
Or even just not petite. I'm 5'2" (petite height), but at my senior prom I was around 150 lbs, most of which was in my belly and hips/butt. I tried on so many dresses that fit my bust perfectly but looked weird around my waist, or didn't fit over my butt/thighs, or made my belly pooch look more pronounced instead of complimenting me. And of course, every dress that wasn't short was way too long. I really wish that they had given Keith more dresses that draped, like the yellow one, or had some kind of minor fit-and-flare type shapes like the ballgown one. They would have complimented his body shape/height really well while covering some of his self-perceived problem areas. Obviously most prom dresses aren't made for adult male bodies, but Keith still deserved to feel beautiful in this video. In terms of feminine dresses, he has a really nice chest/shoulders, waist, and butt, so more dresses that accentuated those assets would've looked and felt a lot better on him.

I just want to say, I adore the wholesome, not-toxic energy the Try Guys bring to the world. No matter what they do or what the theme is, they have fun while doing it. I especially love that they don't even sensationalize breaking gender norms; the Guys wear dresses, but don't make a joke out of it or really put a lot of attention on the fact they are men wearing dresses. They compliment each other genuinely and unabashedly; they are physically affectionate on camera without having to "bro out" for a hot sec. It's just so healthy and wonderful and delightful. (I also _love_ how much Eugene has come out of his shell over the years.)
