I wonder if that is Spotify detecting the device. creepy since this means either apple isn't erasing your data correctly (a security and privacy issue) or Spotify has almost no security/privacy protection. I'm surprised you didn't complain about the scroll wheels instead of number pads for setting things like clocks and alarms.

That's freaking wild 😳 You should give a Pixel phone a spin next. I switched from Sammy to Pixel and haven't looked back, though you would lose that stylus so if that's a massive selling point, not much can be done there. My Pixel has the weather widget and lock screen bonuses you talked about as the pluses of the iPhone though. What's cool is if you use Google home devices and set a timer on one of those, even that shows on the lock screen of the phone so if you leave the room you set the timer in and get distracted, you don't miss your timer.

@@shaggytoph There's no back gesture and there never has been. They have to build the back button or gesture into the app's UI, which to be fair is generally good practice for Android as well but for iPhone that's the ONLY way. The one thing Kinsey liked the most, the weather, was because they bought a company (Dark Sky), pulled their code into the Apple weather app, and shut it down. So they didn't even develop it; they bought it. Then, they changed the APIs from free to pay so that if you want it on Android, you have to pay for an app that uses it, further extending their anti-competitive behavior.

My biggest annoyance with iOS is that you can only have one alarm that fades in so it doesn't shock you awake as soon as it goes off. Android allows you to set the feature for any alarm you set, but on iOS only the "Wake Up" alarm will fade in.

Why? A lot of the things android users like are things you just get use to. What other device has a universal back button? When you want to go to a previous app on windows, do you use back? no.. that's just something you get use to. TBH most of mobile users have a kind of Stockholm syndrome of things you're just used to... And then cry because these cant keep up with his absurd setup he use. Just like mrwhoistheboss started doing comparison beetwen iphone and other high end android phone and over half of the points that apple get are "android is objectively better, but I prefer the apple way so the point go to apple" and the others are about the camera. Kinsey, I'm with you girl! Setting an alarm should be as simple as "hey Google, set an alarm for 11am". "Hey Google snooze and it's 10 minutes". BTW, " Hey Google take a selfie (or photo or videos) is something Siri can't do. Siri will open the app and freeze never taking any action besides opening the app. I like Swype. Gboard is most helpful. Mute button, face ID and fingerprint scanning? I have the OnePlus Open. It's all there ... And those Hasselblad cameras are amazing. Last thing on cameras.... Live photo? I had that on my LG v60 and all it seemed to be was a lazy person's Burst mode. I'm glad I finally got burst back on the OnePlus Open. I can make gifs that way and can have them as long as I want. If you used live photo to find a good frame of a picture you'd be better off with Pixel's "Best Take". If you had neither feature then you could just take a video and get a 4K frame grab from that. iPhone doesn't even fold.

I switched to an iPhone for 1.5 years and just switched back to android. You don't get used to horrible ios it just continues to slowly kill you. All of the first party stuff like imessage on macbook or airdrop only work 25% of the time. I'm glad I gave it a shot to see what it was like but I'm even happier to be switching back.

I remember when picking up my new Android phone back in the day just trying out an iPhone while I waited. To me it felt like I was using the Fisher-Price My First Phone™. I will probably never get over what Apple asks for more storage.

I’m a big apple guy but do agree I do wish there was a back button and do wish I could arrange the apps on the home screen the way I want and I also wish that the sim trey was still physically there on the newer phones I also wish apple had a trey for extended memory

Kinsey's a real one, lol. I got an iPad 2yrs ago through AT&T and I absolutely hate it. I wish I had gone with a Samsung Tab instead. Just general things like transferring files from my PC to the iPad are a pain in the @$$. My iPad has been delegated to being a VERY expensive KZbin video player and that is it. Seriously I only use it at work when I'm on my breaks either watching a KZbin video or a video I put on the iPad. I tried using it one time to edit a video, even going as far as buying a cheapish ($50.00) attachable keyboard but just finding a good free video editing app was a PITA. I have like 8 more payments to make on this iPad and once it's paid off it's going up on FB Marketplace and I'm using what I get from that to put towards a Samsung Tab. The only plus side is this exact iPad is still going for around $500 on the used market.

I really have to agree with what Kinsey is saying and I went from having a iPhone from the 3 to the iPhone 6 plus then saying on Android. The one thing I hate is clutter on my desktop no matter what os I use and not being able to have a icon tray on iPhone what the big thing that made mew change.

This is so funny, I'm also an Android user for all my life from lg, to revvl, to samsung, and now s22. I just bought my iPhone 15 pro max to test it out and see how it is. It will be arriving tomorrow, but I recently used someone's iPhone, and man, it felt so limited and cheap in a way. Hopefully, I enjoy it.

To be honest, I love that both ecosystems can co-exist. I use a Motorola and an iPhone and it works with some caveats haha. But I mean, that’s why we have 3th party apps to work with.

I am an Android user, my wife is an iPhone user. I relate to almost every single one of these complaints. I used an iPhone SE years ago, and I went back to Android for many of these reasons. But, I agree with Matt that two weeks just isn't enough time to get adjusted to the new ecosystem. I will frequently recommend iPhone to people that I know don't want or need all the customization that Android provides.

Kinsey seems to have the same exact complaints I did. I used one for about 2 1/2 weeks when my phone broke and I was waiting on insurance and the back button, keyboard, and app manager were killing me. I hate the fact that we live on our phone but we do, and we want them to be what we want. My wife, HARDCORE iPhone user agrees that android is better, but she doesn't care because she loves her iPhone, and I accept that.

I haven't had an iphone since the 3GS and I only miss two things about iphones: the mute switch and the appl app store. I don't care enough about the app store these days but still apple app store stuff is night and day better than what's on android's. But bottom line for me is I'll never go back to Apple for everything Kinsey said and more.

You're not missing much by not using an iPhone, I had the 3g when it came out, went right back to BlackBerry, moved to Android when BB collapsed. Tried iPhone again around the 9th gen, and came back to Android. Mix in a Palm Pre and some Nokia Symbian OS phones during their hey-day.

Yeah, I'm with Kinsey on this. iOS is okay if you're used to it and you don't mind giving up convenient customizability, but for those of us who NEED things **just so,** it's a pain in the rectal area.
