I brush mine by hand with dawn soap and rinse with conditioner just like hair…gets it all clean my Mac brushes have lasted for years!

Just put them in a jar with hot water and vegetable oil and dish soap the oil removes the makeup

Try putting some sort of scrub silicony one inside at the bottom of the cleaner and see if that helps. Also maybe look at better cleaner soap or run it longer
