Yeah ... am mildly frustrated people are also sending unfinished recipes. What were they thinking??? They're lucky FutureCanoe can still make it look good.

@@elucifiedInstagram will restrict the length of messages from people the person they’re sending the message to don’t follow. So because canoe didn’t follow them, they can only send a limited amount of characters to him as their first DM. One of the subscribers apologized in dms because they reached their character limit and couldn’t send the full recipe. That’s why canoe said “I’m the problem it’s me”

as someone who's worked in kitchens for almost 10 years i have such a love/hate relationship with this guys videos. he never follows ANY of the recipe's properly but he sounds so chill and he's just cooking at home so i let it go 😂😂

Oh yes! My family is from east germany and ALWAYS mayo and mustard but never mashed potato! The mashed potatoes made me cry inside 🤣🤣

How would you summarise those differences? I'm from Central Europe, and we used to eat potato salad with meatballs in my family, made with boiled potato cubes, gherkins and a mixture of sour cream, mustard and mayo.

@@erzsebetkovacs2527 there probably are to many variants to Name them, but for exanple where I live you make potato salad mainly with sliced potatos, oil, vinegar, cooled down vegetable broth and salt and pepper. So as you can see it's just completely different from what you just described.

@@3ilverim4ge did you know that lobster used to be a poverty food. yeah it fucking sucked to eat with the shell on so rich people were like “lmao fuck you have fun eating your crunchy fish” but then once they figured out you could remove the shell they were like “oh damn actually this bangs. this is ours now” this is half remembered secondhand information but i think the general idea is true

Neither of mine could and my mom can't cook either. My sister and I learned how to cook so future generations will never have to experience the torment we grew up with. Then they'll never appreciate it and just eat mcnuggets and fries.

poğaça is more like a snack for teatime or for breakfast. Its best with black tea and you can also use curd cheese or olive spread in it.

I recently lost my last grandparent. My grandma (aka Abue) passed away this last Thanksgiving evening. I couldn't agree more with your last statement about cherishing grandparent's recipes. My Abue's favorite recipe to make and share with us were Tlacoyos, which is a Mexican dish using masa, and they're stuffed with beans and cheese and topped salsa and crema. She was 99 years old when she left us, and her recipe will always remind me of her and the stories she would share and the many memories I have of her ❤ ...And for that, I thank you for making this video. Keep doing what you're doing. I love this channel.

The sausage naming situation is actually kinda funny. The sausage in question originated in Vienna (Wien), Austria, and is therefore called Wiener sausage in Germany and other countries. Here in Austria, we call it Frankfurter sausage, which most people think is because of the German city Frankfurt, but it was actually the name of the butcher who (allegedly) invented it.

That brigadeiro looks pretty good, I'm impressed you got it right the first time! if you put it in the fridge for 15 min then you can roll it into balls and cover in chocolate sprinkles, that's how they are usually sold here. (Brazilian here)

Interesting take on pogácsa, looks delicious :) In Hungary, it's usually a small, circular appetizer, with grated cheese on top, sometimes with diced pork cracklings (tepertő in hungarian) in the dough. My grandma always put some sour cream in the dough, it was delicious.

This video is really wholesome - I know people like to shit on your food for giggles and it's part of your brand, but I really enjoy your channel and cooking. As a brazillian I've neever seen that recipe for cake before. She probably forgot to say to add cake flour to the recipe, because our cakes are not like flan. But the brigadeiro looks nice, we call it brigadeiro mole - mole means soft, and we eat with a spoon. But we also have brigadeiro balls that are sweet treats culturally made for birthday parties. You should try it.

Im Turkish, that pogaca looked pretty spot on! I wish Eser wouldve told you about the sesame seeds, theyre my favorite part but still. We eat pogaca in the morning with our breakfast, on the go, or just as a snack while having some tea between breakfast/lunch or lunch/dinner, glad you enjoyed!

I think she forgot to add cake flour in the recipe. It was supposed to be a cake. And that's why he thought it was similar to a flan. Also why the texture was so strange and wet.

Damn that outro almost got me choked up...I've had to cut out 99% of my bio family in the last few years, all except for my mom who I'm actually trying to repair things with from childhood, and now my fiance's family is all I have. It's not that I didn't have good reason to cut everyone out, but it gets hard sometimes. That part about connecting deeper with the people who care about you just really got me in the feels. I love your channel and this was a really wholesome video

Gonna be real I feel like it would be legit if you gave the roll a quick sear in a pan after it got cooked to crisp the bacon up a bit but it looked surprisingly edible

Your words at the end made me think about my grandmother's legacy. She was a well-known pastry chef in my city, but her age does not allow her to work with that type of stress, so my sister decided to learn her recipes and one day open her own pastry shop.

BUTTER TARTS!!! Can't believe you made those, they're a staple here in Canuckistan. They're usually small, though, like a lil two-bite baby tart. Raisins are totally optional in butter tarts, IMO. I prefer them without. It's like a pecan pie without the pecans.

It's super rare to see pogača filled with cheese, it's basically just a bread. But even if you fill it, you don't put in the melty kind of cheese, you use something like cottage cheese. Probably tastes great either way tho

In Turkey, poğaça filled with chese is really common! We also have poğaça filled with olives as well!

in Slovakia its quite common to add minced pork crackers into dough or cheese into dough ,we are basically just instead of filling them adding filling as ingredient of the dough .

Good day sir As a brazilian, brigadeiro can pretty much go with everything. Depending on how you make it, you can even eat it as is. Next time I suggest you trying out our other national treasure "Coxinha". If these two dishes makes us happy, I don't know what effects they'd have in foreigners.

Natural German here: In Germany, we have all kinds of sausages. One of them is the "Wiener Würstchen". "Wiener" are called like that because they're from Wien in Austria. "Wurst" means sausage while "Würstchen" is pretty much a "cuter" version of it, usually used when they are smaller. The potato salad was a failure indeed. You gotta try to do more German dishes. Would love to see. Would love to send you my "Gulasch" recipe.

My family's recipe... Line the bottom of a baking dish with frozen burritos. Cover them with a can of enchilada sauce. Then cover it with canned chili (we used Staggs, I don't know if that's still a brand). Then cover the chili with cheese. Bake it till its warmed throguh and the cheese is melted. Youcan scoop out a burrito wit hsome toppings, add some sour cream (Or mayo if you're insne like my stepdad) and enjoy!

damn i would've loved to send my grandma's dragon boat festival zhong recipe! still have yet to taste a better one than hers (and that's not me being biased because everyone who's ever tried it says the same thing B) ). it's pretty labor intensive but i would have loved to see him tackle the wrapping and tying parts. been learning for years and mine still turn out ugly and misshapen every time lol edit: just finished the video and that heartfelt message at the end made me feel really emotional. my grandma died a few years ago, and the times when i feel most connected to her memory are the times when my family and i all gather to cook her old dishes together. thank you for the comforting words and for the sincerity in all your content, they are appreciated more than you could possibly know.

Man, I didn't know this was going on otherwise I woulda sent something in. The Liver Stuffing one made me think of something my grandma brings to Christmas every year. My grandparents raise Pheasants every year and there are quite a few that die so my grandpa usually cleans them and freezes them. They eat a lot of pheasant. Anyways, they always wind up with a ton of pheasant livers and my grandma makes Rumaki with them. So good.

Brazilian here, u just cant imagine how hyped I got when I found out you were making brigadeiro, it's delicious and a lot of people eat brigadeiro on its own, with a spoon or at (usually birthday) parties, rolled into little balls covered in sprinkles, in that case, the cream needs to cook a little longer in order to get thicker

I'm actually cooking one of my favorite things my mom makes (palak paneer) for a potluck next week! I'm excited to take my first crack at a recipe I've loved so.much from childhood. For the butter tarts you can substitute the raisins with pecans or walnuts. But traditionally butter tarts are made with raisins.

The chicken roll looks surprisingly good for being steamed bacon. The only thing that'd probably help it and make it better is to let it chill in the fridge or freezer then removing the plastic and air frying. That or steam it and air fry for a few minutes at the end.

Big tip, if you suspect that you've used too much MSG, it's actually a great idea to add a little bit of regular table salt . It'll balance out the savory taste of the MSG, that along with other spices can help mask the flavor a bit and furthermore still do the MSG effect we all love.

In hungary we write it down like pogácsa and its loved by everyone we don't put cheese in it but on top of it and its made out of various various other things like from potato or we call "tepertő" wich is pig fat boiled in a cauldron till it bacomes brown and crispy and we crush them and mix it with the dough and pepper and it extremely delicious.
