This is a lot more coherent then I thought it would be, seems to be a bit like Juggernaut with having to live through multiple stories to save a life.

Please gamer Jesus, hear my prayer: the one thing I want in this world is for SGF to finish this game.

This was one of the killer apps for the CD-ROM drive alongside Myst and The 7th Guest.

Thinking of optical media things as "apps" makes me wither and crumble to dust.

@@roecocoa Now now, they're Multimedia App-lications, aren't they? If everyone in the 80s and 90s carried a powerful computer in their pocket like we do today, every rad dude and dudette would be calling 'em "apps" too.
@SleepingCocoonАй бұрын
@@roecocoa the phrase "killer app" dates back to the 80s, there were "killer apps" that sold CD-ROM drives, sound cards, graphic cards, etc. was super common in tech publications. today the word means the same, of course, but sprung from a different place.

@@GeorgeNoiseless I had a powerful computer in my pocket in the 1980s. Texas Instruments made it.

@@SleepingCocoonPeople mostly said "program" (incorrectly but commonly) and "software" up through the '90s. Source: I was there.

Tong-Nou genuinely seems like it'd be a perfect game to continue down the line, but be aware - this game is SUPER obtuse in a lot of its puzzlesolving at times.

Eastern Mind! There's an old LP of this by SuccinctAndPunchy I love a lot - you stumbling into the Phantom Marketplace and getting the book was very lucky, I think a lot of things make no sense whatsoever without the book to give context and clues. I wouldn't mind seeing you continue this, to see what the game's like to play blind, but I do worry a lot of it will be just aimless stumbling about using items on everything, like much of this episode was.

This game seems impenetrable but I'm really enjoying it's coked up energy and its "child's crayon drawing but on multiple party drugs" aesthetic.
