We're trying one of Québec's best loved foods: poutine! We've gone straight to the source to find "the real thing" in the province where it all started. We're on a 10-day road trip around the beautiful Gaspé Peninsula in our home country of Canada. This maritime region is best known for its fresh seafood (stay tuned for more on that!) but you'll also find plenty of places along the drive to stop for a cheeky, indulgent poutine. In this video, we start out in Rivière-du-Loup and drive through Rimouski, Saint-Moïse, Amqui, Causapscal, Routhierville, and Matapédia, before stopping for the night in Carleton-sur-mer.
We are delighted to partner with the Québec Maritime Tourism Board to bring you this new series around one of the most picturesque and historic parts of Canada. We've had a lot of requests to share more of our home country and this is the perfect time to introduce you to one of the best summer road trips in Canada.

I have had poutine in Victoria BC, so I’m not sure if it was the best since that is far from Quebec. I love the concept, though! What’s not to love about fries, gravy, and squeaky cheese!? 😂🤤😋 I live in Washington state, so it will be an expedition but I hope to try it in Quebec one day.

@@aliwins We definitely share the "what's not to love?" attitude about poutine. 😂 That's cool you had it in Victoria. I've never been there! It looks so pretty. Washington state is beautiful too. The colour that pops up in my mind is green. I remember it feeling lush. What a lovely place to call home!

When I was 8 yrs old in 1986 my family had a family trip to the Smoky Mountains in TN. We were coming from a flat plain, South Tx coastal city. Seeing a cool weather mountain area with river creeks is so eye opening. Have family ancestry of Rhineland Palatinate, and kind of makes me think is similar. ❤ Happy prayers that no one got hurt from recent flooding from last few days in 🌲 Gatlinburg and Virgina. Reminds of W Europe floods from last year on this anniversary...though not as devastating 🌹🕯🕊

Hey Alicia! I'm glad you liked the drone footage! I love being able to send it up and get a better view and appreciate all the details you can't see from ground level. The fog gave it such a cool feeling too. We're using a DJI Mavic 2 Pro. It's nice and compact. Here's the link to it on our little Amazon "shop" page (I don't know what to call it 😂) where we've listed a bunch of the gear we use: www.amazon.com/dp/B07GDC5X74?tag=onamzeileenal-20&linkCode=ssc&creativeASIN=B07GDC5X74&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.1CHWAPGCKNPY Hope that's helpful! Hi Pamela! I'm happy you enjoyed the drone shots! So nice to be able to get a bird's eye view like that. That's great you'd like to try poutine! You know you're true Canadians to love poutine so much.
