Whale Watching in Gaspé | Québec, Canada Road Trip 🐳

We're in Forillon National Park boarding a zodiac to go whale watching! We start the day off waking up in a tiny home where we stayed for the first time (slept better than we thought!) and head out early to the wharf. The whale watching is delayed so we take advantage of the time by exploring beautiful Forillon National Park, the first national park in Québec. We hike to La Chute, a gorgeous waterfall shaped like a wedding cake and have the place all to ourselves. Next we discover some of the cool camping accommodations at Forilllon before heading back to the water for the whale watching cruise. We see lots of whales, seals, and birds and get a great view of Cap Gaspé, the easternmost point of the Gaspé Peninsula, from the boat.

We just returned from Newfoundland and we were able to see whales, too. Not as magnificent as yours but it was a treat. Did not know about minke whales until this trip! You both look like you are well and having fun!

Hey Ron! Me too. Seeing them up close like this is just incredible but also the SOUND. When the captain turned the boat off and just let us hear them breathing was a highlight for me. ❤️🐳

Looks like a lot of fun, glad you got to see plenty of whales. Never done that before, but would love to. The park looked lovely, especially the waterfall. Definitely worth another trip there to stay at The Oasis, looked very cool place to stay.

I agree! I thought the glamping options were really neat and the park is beautiful. Felt lucky that the delay in the whale watching tour meant we got to do the little hike to the waterfall. It kind of had a Lord of the Rings quality. Hopefully you can catch a whale watching tour sometime! It's amazing to see them close up :)

Seals are so interesting. That sounds like fun! I loved seeing them in the water near us on the kayaking trip we did. They were curious haha. The tiny home was intriguing indeed as it was our first time trying it out! I was impressed with how spacious the bed felt in the loft.

Ahh so cool! Yes I'd love to do a whale watch tour. Looks like that trip may have been too much for some @11:24! lol Ohhh that waterfall may be one of the most picturesque I've seen! Wedding cake/ whiskey glasses are perfect descriptions! Yeah that last campsite does have an extraterrestrial look to it! Can't argue with the views. Cute tiny house guys! haha yes, I did eventually get my coffee but not until much later in the day after the whale watching tour! Clearly I was missing it since I was talking about it so much 😂The kids sleeping on the boat were so cute. They were zonked and had no trouble sleeping soundly through it all. Glad you liked the glamping and tiny house too!

We will be doing lots of hiking but hoping to check out Ile Bonaventure, Forillion National and Gaspesie National park.I definitely want to have dinner at la Maison du Pecheur!! Looks so yummy!!! Do you have to book the boat tickets ahead of time (on-line)? Or can just show up and buy tickets on the spot ??
