He married a Norwegian woman. They moved to Los Angeles in the 1950's. The rest as they say is history. Happy you enjoy my culture. I also enjoy yours. Love from a Cityzen. UK soft drinks do NOT contain cane sugar. The use of cane sugar is gourmet here as well with brands such as Fentiman’s. Most pop which isn’t diet/zero sugar do contain sugar, like Fanta but they use regular sugar which is made from beets, and the majority of soft drinks contain sweeteners because of the sugar tax. Regular Coca-Cola in the UK contains no sweeteners but it is NOT made from cane sugar like Mexican Coke, it’s made with regular sugar. Cane sugar is not as refined.
@SimonTBam
@SimonTBam Жыл бұрын
@@handsoffmycactus2958 The majority of sugar that is used in the UK including in soda is cane sugar, regular UK sugar is refined from sugar cane. It comes from the UKs former colonies in the West Indies. This was by arrangement with the Common Market when the UK joined, and why many of the Caribbean Commonwealth States became ACP to the EU. The same arrangements were made regarding banana imports. In continental Europe most sugar is derived from sugar beet rather than sugar cane. That is NOT the case in Great Britain. Pepsi Cola in the UK is made from cane sugar purely, if you buy Pepsi which is made in the Netherlands it contains sugar beet and also aspartame and a couple of other artificial sweeteners.

@@kiriakoz I understand that but the system is what it is until it changes. As for healthcare here in the U.S. (not sure where you live) private insurance is now available to everyone. It's also income based so you get a discount on your monthly premium. Also if restaurants paid a living wage plus healthcare the price of the food would double. Begging the question would you still eat out? Keep in mind servers are currently paid $2 to $3 an hour plus tips and insurance. Now your wanting a system that is $20 to $30 (depending where you live in the U.S.) an hour plus healthcare. Food for thought, pun intended.

@@alisteroliver1669 private health? Half a million people go bankrupt due to medical debt every year in usa. Let that sink in. And you pay more money per person than say Canada for worse cover, the whole thing is a racket and it’s the poor us citizens getting fleeced.

This is an Italian sandwich? My family are Sicilian, never seen anything like it!! I love cold cuts in crusty cheese toasted bread, but this looks delicious. Think I have to get my arse to America to try their food, they know how to eat. Thanks Dan.

@@5556665012008 it's Italian-American immigrant food, as most Italians coming here to NYC in 19th Century were from Southern Italy.Its definitely its own cuisine.

Brooklyn has never seen such a thing, I think Brooklyn is a very working class, funky kind of location, the folks are real - I always liked the Steely Dan song 'Brooklyn', nice to see the street level and join Danny & Co for lunch.
