Great job brother! I wish more people made logs like this! It’s just as much educational for us as it is for you! Only suggestion I have is always include the wedding couples name and find different ways of saying the same thing so it doesn’t come off repetitive. Maybe have the planner and/or other help bring people into the room so you don’t have to repeat yourself over and over again. Absolutely great job MCing btw!

Nice one bro! I like the speakers placed on both sides of the head table! As for the MC part the only thing I can think of is going out towards the dance floor so you are visible to guests. I feel that helps me command the room a bit more and build some excitement for introductions.
@MrMaui38

Yoo Drizzy!! Thanks for watching bro! Haha yea I would have loved to keep the speakers next to me but the room was big enough that I thought the best way for the sound was on both sides of the stage. Glad you like it! And thanks for the tip broo!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I definitely agree that helps bring the energy more than being behind the booth. I tried that once, but then had this like awkward few seconds after I hyped everyone up, and then had to go back to the booth to start their song lolll so then never did it again haha. How do you do it?? Do you have like a go to line or something that you say while you’re heading back to the booth to play their entrance song so that there’s no like awkward silence or like awkward having to say “just give me a second to get to the booth” 😂 I’d love to know thanks again bro
@djdrizzy
@djdrizzy 3 ай бұрын
Oh yeah I get you! Sometimes I have my fiancé running sound so don’t have to worry about it when I am out on the floor! But when I don’t I usually end my intro with some type of “make some noise” And then run back to the booth. While the crowd cheers that usually gives me enough time to get back and be ready for the next line!
@MrMaui38
@MrMaui38 3 ай бұрын
@@djdrizzy haha man that’s awesome your fiance helps out with that too sometimes! That’s definitely another plus about having an assistant. I really like the idea of saying make some noise or something similar to give yourself time. I’ll try that out thanks again bro! Looking forward to seeing your next one!!

Great job 1. Go outside introduce yourself and let the guest know what's about to take place. This might have reduced the content constant announcement to come in. 2. Engage with your audience a little. For example, let me hear this side of the room and let me hear the right side. Small interaction to try and build the excitement. 3. Always speak on the mic like it is a wedding. What I mean is that if you djing at surprise 50th speak as if it's a wedding. Clear and precise. This will prepare you for the more serious events. You were great. Going to middle of the dancefloor is crucial in getting good crowd attention.

@@nesentertainments Hey thank you for watching and for sharing these awesome tips! I appreciate you taking the time to write this out for me! I am going to try going out on the dance floor for some of the MCing but have always had a hard time doing that and getting back in time to change music for intros etc without there being an awkward pause..that’s also where having an extra person would help! That being said, I’m going to try having everything cued up on the laptop before I head out to the dance floor to speak, so that I can just hit play when I get back. Cheers and thanks again so much for the tips!!

Yoooo brother great gig log!! Getting on the mic at weddings could seem tough because it’s someone’s big day! What I do for all of my weddings is just keeping it simple and quick! Not reading a script of course but my lines did come from a pre made speech of mine if you would call it a speech. Don’t always say it in this exact way but it gives me a sense of what I’m going to say which makes me feel more comfortable “good evening family & friends! Welcome to the wedding reception of “inserts first names of the couple” my name is Dj Wolf and I’ll be your host for this evening. At this time I’d like to ask everyone to raise to their feet and make as much noise as humanly possible! As we welcome in the new MR & Mrs. *inserts last nameeeeee. Simple and effective but seems like a lot to the audience. Pausing giving my self time to speak clearly. Once you come up with a little pre thought out speech introductions are like nothing! Could be used for all type of events. Pick your style use words that are easier for you to pronounce. I’m halfway through and you did great brother

I always keep a few power strips with me so as far as the power situation I think what I would’ve done is run a long power cord along the fake wall and under the stage to the other speaker. I would use my 3ft extension (the one you used to secure the plug into the wall safely) and I’d have that run to my power strip. What you did was smart! Lucky to have any outlet to plug into on the other side even if it was a daisy chain situation lol it works so great! Just did an even where there was only one outlet thank god for gaff tape
@MrMaui38
@MrMaui38 3 ай бұрын
Hahaha yea bro with one outlet I was so worried I was going to blow the circuit cuz it was running my booth, the decorators uplights on stage, my speakers and the Chauvet wash fx LOL it held up! That is the nice thing about having a smaller setup tho, you don’t have to worry too much about how much power your setup takes but still. Gaff tape is a must! I’m lucky I didn’t have much foot traffic by the wires, so I just left them this time lol

I think you fid a great job.. youre always your toughest critic! How do you like those mics? Do you have lapels to use for ceremonies? Do they work well if so. I'm thinking about going with a Phenix pro set

@@Brian_P hey thanks for watching and the nice comment! I appreciate it!! I’ve loved the mics so far and actually made a couple videos reviewing them in depth! In general, if you’re looking for a budget mic with solid lapel, these are the choice. I have my GTD Audio 733 mics which have great handhelds, but the lapel option on those aren’t great quality so I bought these. Here’s a link to the video where I review them with my complete thoughts!: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jH_NhnabpK-pqMksi=QOBeVI88GQbLW3Ic

You really shouldn’t react yourself and try not to use the mic as much. I do my intros special dance. Before i do my intros I ask will everyone please kindly make your way back to your assigned seat because we are going to start the Intros. If they get up after the intros and special dances I never tell them to go back to their seats because the meal is being served, if they miss out on the food it’s their own fault. As for everything else it was great!!
