Firstly, the editing in this video is gorgeous! Secondly, higher education is free in Norway and I'm so grateful for that. I would not have been able to get my bachelor's or master's if that wasn't the case. It's simply unfair that higher education isn't accessible. If you have the grades you should be able to go regardless of how much money your family has. You really have made the best of the situation, and I admire that. Also, grad school is so intense, especially during covid. Lots of procrastination and crying involved, so if you were to go later in life you would be prepared haha.

I'm currently just a little more than a year away from completing my master's degree in France, and most of us here are lucky enough to not have to get huge loans to study at state-funded universities (most of them are practically "free"), but because of Covid everything has become so stressful and filled with uncertainty, and I'm not sure what employment will be like after I get my degree. I understand what you are saying about working in the service industry and not always getting treated well. I work in health care and my goodness, I'm amazed at how many people think it's perfectly fine to treat health care workers very rude and disrespectful. I appreciate your sharing your journey. I think your hard times have helped to make you a humble, down-to-earth person. I very much understand how difficult it is to start out with no financial support. I started the same way, as I do not come from money. My husband and I have worked very, very hard to have everything that we do have. WE are now in our mid-forties and it has taken over 20 years to become financially secure and pay off our home etc. etc. We've always lived very frugal and been content with less than what society tries to convince us we need. So thak you for sharing, your hard work, frugality, and determination will pay off!

Omg same!! I feel like I cannot stay focused at all. And I feel like even when I was just on instagram, I will close out of it but then minutes later be right back on it!! Like nothing has changed in the 5 minutes since you have been on it! I work from home now too and have been since March as well. I work 9-6 but it just feels like even at work I’m not focused. And then when I’m not working that’s literally all I’ve been doing. Instagram and KZbin. It’s really frustrating because I’m aware it’s happening but I’m not stopping myself lol

I also am having trouble focusing! May I recommend the forest app? You get to grow virtual trees and collect a forest based on how long you work! For the trees you grow, the company will plant real trees! Plus, if you get distracted and pick up your phone to get on a social app your virtual tree will die. 0.0 I work better with it because of the guilt (haha), but I can also set a timer. I start with 30 minutes, but then I find myself on a roll and actually get my work done.

Loved seeing the behind the scenes snippets. And Roo being mischievous!!! So cute. I teared up while you were talking about youtube being your impossible dream. I'm so proud of you for sticking with it and all the growth that has happened since you started. I also tried to make a job work right after college that was not a good fit for me. It was so toxic and I'm glad that you and I were both able to get out of those situations. Thank you for being so honest about your journey with money and also your current situation. So often people will only talk about money once they've 'made it' and don't have to worry about it at all anymore but its nice to find connection with others while we're still working toward the goal. I'm so glad that I've been able to watch and be a small part of the growth and I'm loving getting to see and be inspired by the places your path is taking you :)

It's embarrassing to admit how much I've struggled and that, while I'm on the right path, I still struggle. I completely relate to the productivity problems. Being on my phone isn't even enjoyable when I feel so guilty about not doing my work, but I can't see to stop! However, this video inspired me to wake up early tomorrow, have a warm cup of tea, and start working right away (hopefully)

I knew that living in the us and going to college was very difficult and put people in a difficult situation with loans but I didn't realize how much it was.
