Rocket fuel is where it all changed for me. I'd struggled with nuclear, thinking it was how I got serious energy going. But it was rocket fuel that allowed me to upgrade my fuel powered generation so much that I then had five or six times as much power as I needed. At which point I went back, and redid and extended nuclear, and it was so much easier to do when you can power up the waste disposal first, then build the rest as if it was supposed to be just serving the waste disposal system, not the other way round!

Creating perfect no waste nuclear is one of the most satisfying things in the game. Can’t’ wait!

Nuclear took me a week even while unemployed. Good luck, lol.

Yeah took me days just to make the uranium plants up. I then only made the plutonium rods and sank them. Havent had the coursge to do the plutonium plants yet

Hey man your videos are great, have you ever thought of playing and making videos on factorio? It's another factory building game.

As someone whose save looks like the visual representation of an ADHD diagnosis, and has a significantly less neat looking save, I ended up making an efficient but fairly small setup in terms of actual power output with nuclear. Scaling rocket fuel production was a lot more tractable for me, although I've gotten good use out of plutonium fuel cells. ...Because I'm doubling the fuel cell production via somersloop and then using them for more power and to power half my drones. Not that I technically need to, but I never have to worry about drones running out of fuel now

Good job, well, my experience is if need more power, the fast way is build lots overclocked turbo and rocket fuel power plant, nuclear power need horde water, so I'll not set that as main power.

Yeah, I absolutely agree about using rocket fuel for power. I've ended up with only a handful of nuclear power plants, which are useful to be sure, but the level of setup needed is pretty high and they need a lot of different resources. Setting up making 1200+ rocketfuel per minute on the other hand did take a little bit of effort, but it was ridiculously simple in comparison. Ended up using the polymer resin and a lot of the compacted coal that also got made (because of the recipes picked) as inputs for a different factory, since they were going to go to waste otherwise.

Going nuclear is cool but it is so much work!!! (maybe even too much) Sticking to fuel (rocket) is almost the way to go ... Nuclear is a hot mess with all the byproducts .. but it is very cool!!
