Adam when your 2jz is done and Nicole's 240 is not running as good as its potential why don't you swap out ur sr20 put your 2jz in your 240 (duh) then put your sr20 in Nicole's car and Nicole's sr20 rebuild it and in case your 2jz blows up or something or Nicole's sr20 blows up or something just put the extra sr20 in and there

Adam..Very good video been following your overheating props for awhile now...finally you showed a video with your water pump pulley and i thought your running a standard 1.The other problem you are facing is called water pump cavitation.What that is the water pump is spinning that fast a high RPM the pump CANNOT get the water though the engine block to the radiator to cool your coolant.Your going to have to install a smaller diameter water pump pulley to slow your water pump down at high rpm.The other thing i would suggest is take your radiator to a radiator shop that knows water there doing and get them to baffel it.What this does is makes the coolant go thought the radiator more times before it goes back to the engine.I have built many race car engines and have seen your problem many times....HOPE IT SOME HELP TO YOU and keep the vids coming i enjoy them much

Adam, just wanted to let you know about a coolant funnel that I use when I work on the cooling system. Google "coolant funnel" and you will see a funnel with adapters to install on the radiator cap. Much less of a mess and helps burp the system.

Get yourself a spill-free funnel that attaches to your radiator. Makes filling and bleeding the cooling system a lot easier and cleaner.

@Adam LZ a quick easy fix to overheating is to have the plastic undertray under the car. you have a gaping hole under the car in front of the radiator. any air that goes through your bumper will take the path of least resistance and go back under the car where there tends to be a negative pressure that will suck the air away. you can build something out of corrugated plastic or something and zip tie it to your bumper and rad supports

if you look it appears that the plates he got for spreading the load due the concrete in the floor not being thick enough are leaning on the wall behind him and the post nearest the window has no arms installed. I don't know why the ramp company didn't install the ramp for him rather then let john boy Walton install it so he could get some youtube promo.

Adam go to your local parts store and get a bottle of Water Wetter! You add the bottle to straight water in the radiator and it will keep your car 20 degrees cooler. I've been using it for year's and now use it in all my vehicles including my drag car.

Good important upgrade. point of advice, don't glug water or coolant. let it flow smoothly from the bottle. if you can, fill up coolant with the front end of the car jacked uo.

Coolant isn't just for keeping water from freezing. It also raises the boiling point significantly. I wouldn't run less than 40% coolant in any vehicle, even in florida. It also protects the cooling system better than regular water.

I don't know if you have ever used water-less coolant but its super. I currently use EVANS and im very happy, especially if you consider that the average temperature here during the summer is 39 degrees Celsius (!). You just have to make sure you follow the installation steps PROPERLY.

Use water wetter and water. I run 2 bottles and top of with water - never had any heating issues in CA Valley weather. You can also run a swirl tank, I've heard they help keep cool, but I haven't tried it yet.

Be careful bleeding the mishimoto with how many rows there are! I put one in and blew the cap off with air in the system at a track day a week later after a shop left some air in. Took 3 rounds of bleeding over a week to get all the air out

When you were bleeding the radiator, you should have left your funnel in the hole and filled it up half way with coolant. The bubbles won't splash everywhere and it will also take coolant in at the same time.

With radiators the area of the tubes is more important than how many there are. For example, a 2 core radiator with 1" tubes is better than a 3 core radiator with .62" tubes. If you have too many cores you disrupt the airflow in the rear cores so you don't get very good cooling capacity because the air just circulates instead of going toward the fan/engine and away from the radiator. My 2 core rad with 1" tubes is actually overcooling my 5.3 right now so i need to block some of the rad with cardboard so my engine can actually get up to operating temp on the freeway!

hey man if you want some help with your cooling problem you should install an oil cooler and use waterwetter from redline in your coolant/water both of those will greatly lower your engine coolant temperature! Good luck

yo adam u should really be running distilled water with an additive to lubricate the water pump like royal purple or water wetter. Also u might want to increase your cap to 1.5 bar so it holds the liquid in the radiator longer for better cooling. these are the things i have used to keep temps under 200. much props sir keep sliding

I doubt you ever read my comments but ill keep giving them anyone they may help someone. Distilled water also helps slightly to cool your car along with something like water wetter or the Royal purple version. Also its a good idea to flush the block out if your having over heating issues. You may want to look at running a double or triple pass radiator also they drasticley helped us in out race car. It basicly keeps the water in the rad longer to remove more heat out of the water. Just a idea but i would flush that rad that u took off and keep it as a spare.

dude save yourself and run the OEM fan with a GKtech upgraded fan. also a swirl pot, takes care of bubbles in the system. i was running 90-95C , and after those two upgrades, 80-84C. thumbs up for doing it yourself this time ;)

Get bonnet risers , that will help get the heat out of the bay.. CO2 extinguishers work well to cool down the car down quickly , see if you can get a different pulley for the water pump to push more water around quicker

Hey man if there is a ton of gunk and stuff stuck in the fins of the intercooler, that could also be causing you cooling issues because it's not allowing the air flow to pass through onto the radiator. I know a lot of people have that issue on diesel trucks including myself because the intercooler covers the entire front end of the radiator... purple power soaking and a light duty pressure washer should blow most of the stuff out of the fins.

You might try water wetter and distilled water instead of coolant. Some people say its snake oil but I run it in my ktm and it stopped my overheating issues.

be careful with those mishimoto fans. ours got a little hot under a hood that wasn't vented super well and the surround melted and sunk in, causing the hub to touch and the blades all flew off. was surprised how little it took.

being that you live in Florida and its almost summer you should look into a lower temp thermostat and using distilled water and water wetter...i've used that for all my drift cars and even my 400hp sr and it helps.

Keep your fan setup and try adding a pusher fan in front of the radiator if the intercooler allows.
