They weren't fertile at all or u opened the eggsac too soon? I opened an OBT eggsac too soon like 17-18 day after layed, and some of the eggs are with legs and the others not. Im wondering if other ones that dont have legs can make it or not?

From my experience, every sac develops differently. If I'm ever producing with a species I'm not too familiar with, I'll go on arachnoboards, or ask someone who has produced a successful sac. 30 days is the average recommended time to wait, but I've had species take almost 2 months to hit ewls. I've also had some even hatch before 30 days. It's always a good idea to do some research on said species, to get an average production rate to be better prepared. I also recommend splitting them up into different cups, so they're not clumped together. This helps with them not sticking together, and if there are any bad eggs, not spread mold to each other. Another tip I have, is with an incubation setup, it creates a lot of humidity, which can cause mold, which will attract mites and flies. You can either seal the the cup, or use a trap that will entice them more.

Good luck, Kat! If these end up not being fertile, don’t worry- you will have a healthy egg sac in no time because I know how dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable you are. Maybe that is why she took them out of the hide, she knew they don't need to be as humid (?) and would be eggs with legs and first instar soon enough? I'm sure you will have great success! Can't wait to see how it all goes!

I love your phrasing to ask the guys their opinions without making them feel sh&t. That’s something that should be always commonplace, going to multiple sources and being allowed to just choose what you think is best. Or choosing what you even originally thought, or coming up with a new idea from a mix of everyone’s ideas. Life is a mix of BS. We’re all doing a mix of guessing, using somewhat proven results (due to ever changing variables- life isn’t ever stable if we’re being honest), and experiments. It’s what keeps living magical and worth actually going through.

After 30 days though they look a lot better than what I would suspect if they didn't have anything going on with them. I haven't gotten any eggs from my Ts yet but other invertebrates and reptile eggs that are not viable start to typically turn after a week or 2 and the moms usually will eat them at that point. I would say that there is still hope with those.

Sorry not sorry but I prefer jumping spiders to tarantulas they are way cuter. Tarantulas are scary. In my opinion their only redeeming factor is they don’t like you as much as you don’t like them so they will tend to avoid you, too, as long as you leave them alone. I mean there are some species that I can tolerate more than others like those homeoma ones cause they aren’t that hairy looking but the hairy stuff on tarantulas is what bothers me the most- idk to me it makes them look more threatening. I also just don’t like how big they are or that they could eat mammals depending on the size.
