Ideal way to make a moss pole🙌 and brilliant Manjula Pothos! 🌱🍃🙏
@aniliname2 жыл бұрын
My manjula LOVES pon. Unlike what I hear from a lot of other people, my manjula is a very tough and vigorous grower. I grew it out from a cutting and put it through a lot and it never flinched. I had it in pon without a reservoir for a long time and then moved it to self-watering. I feel like it likes to dry out more than most of my other plants and def appreciates the aeration of pon/perlite and I think it appreciates my sunny apartment more than my other pothos. I had it in a bit too much sun and it gave me smaller weird looking leaves but didn’t freak out like my other pothos did in high light. Then it started to size up again when I found the right spot with indirect, somewhat lower light.

I started in mine November 2021 and the biggest leaf was slightly bigger than your biggest leaf. Fast forward to today, the biggest leaf is now about the size of my whole hand and it’s only halfway my pole. I just kept air layering it to my pole making sure it stays constantly moist and it gets lots of light to speed up the growth. Also i have it growing in normal home conditions here in Canada (humidity during the winter is about 25-35%)

Only been watching for a couple of months. But love your videos, even though I've only ever planted in soil . Love the long videos. To me your videos are not only informative but they relax me . Your pace is real time and your voice tone is very soothing. I am a lot older than you . I understand your anxiety as I've too have suffered this also. Keep up your good work. I'm using your lazy pole method on some of my plants, in soil. So much easier. Thank you for being you💜 From the east coast of Canada. Saint John, N.B. right on the coast.

I definitely got lucky with a great specimen! I’ve seen a lot of Manjulas sort of more marble queen variegation, which is also really beautiful too, but really nice manjula variegation is freakin stunning 😍

Yay!!! I feel like every plant lover NEEDS a manjula! And I’m so happy they’re becoming more readily available at good prices- but it’s a bonus when it’s gifted! 💖

Ahhhh! A video from Charmaine perfect video to watch, while I am in bed winding down from a long and very busy day. After, your last video of watching you water your plants 🪴 I ordered the Liquid Gold Leaf, Cal Mag and Marphyl. I am just waiting on the liquid gold leaf. Charmaine, Luckily my husband loves plants 🪴 because if, he didn’t I would just be saying it’s Charmaine’s fault!!!! She made me do it because I am fan girling her and her plants 🪴 😂. Have a Great week, give your hubby my condolences and a hug to Pudgey.

Here's Some Kudos. 😋 J.k. that is a very cool pole. Manjula is my favorite pothos maybe except Global Green. Now I want to grow them up. I left a pothos outside hanging on a shepherd's hook last summer and it rapidly grew down to the ground, rooted, then climbed up the house putting out giant leaves. I left it out for the winter to see if it might survive (we're new here in zone 8) but it died. It was fun while it lasted, though.

I now have my adosonii on a huge lazy moss pole in my entryway. I was pretty unsuccessful with my first attempt at a D. I tried using vinyl that I already had, but it was quite flimsy.
@wildcatdiva49742 жыл бұрын
I’m on it. I have not made any poles yet but this will be my first project. Found a $7 manjula from Lowe’s. I’m going to use “plastic canvas” needlework netting with plastic sewed on to line it (sewed with a big needle and fishing line. I plan on loosely threading some jute twine through the plastic canvas holes along the front of the pole to loosely hold the moss in. I may sew some plastic loops loosely together to put on the pole to help hold everything in too.

Question about DynoMyco, they are kind of course granules, not exactly powder that can be sprinkled on. Can you please show how you got them on the roots without having them roll right off? Are you squeezing them on? Getting the roots wet so it sticks a bit?

I had the njoy which is the same type as the manjula the variegations. Mine kept getting fungas gnats and browning on the leaves. So giving the manjula a try. I was told only the green part photosynthesis so they depend on that part to survive. So they need alot of indirect sunlight to thrive and no brown leaves. Compared to the other pothos that have more green they grow really well. I definitely like the marble queen more than the golden one. I stick with using bamboo sticks and plastic plant sticks to support my plants. I am not fond of the diy sphagnum moss pole because i find it hard balancing the watering and getting root rot it can be tricky.
@Weirder_the_better2 жыл бұрын
UGH! The only downside to watching your videos is that it always results in me having another plant chore to do, hahaha. Now I need to repot my manjula immediately and at least give it a moss pole! The growth on yours was crazy!
@amberfrazier57511 ай бұрын
Get a moisture meter and water, the exact same amount of water when it measures three on the meter every single time consistency is key. You’ll never get root rot again, fluff your soil regularly, endo mychorzial fungi powder mixed in with your water or dusted on the roots during planting will help breed the good bacteria that fight root rot and get your plant healthy with a strong root system.
