Can't go wrong with a drive around Scotland. Please don't lose sight of the fun and tire yourselves out needlessly for the sake of the video. I enjoy you two exploring, but the small getaways where you just enjoy the sites together are at least as enjoyable as these big challenges.

The Kessock Bridge will always be my favourite. When I used to come up here on holiday, before I moved up permanently, I used to love that view you get of the bridge as you start heading downhill on the A9 towards Inverness. Seeing it meant that we weren't far from our destination and it used to make my heart sing even more than passing the "Welcome to Scotland" sign on the M6 😊

I didn't realise the Kessock bridge was on the £100 note or the Falkirk Wheel was on the £50 note, maybe because I've never seen any of the two🤣Well done Alicja for coming up with such a brilliant idea, cracking video showing how stunning our country is👌I actually cycled over the Forth Road Bridge last Monday and funnily enough I passed through Falkirk on my way home, where an old lady in a car rear ended me🤣no damage thankfully....

This is like a breathe of fresh air, seeing these wonderful bridges, and seeing the gorgeous scenery. They were all great in their own way; what is your favourite? Brig O' Doon and Kessock were mine. The work that went into constructing and making them meant so much hard work, but the structures give years of enjoyment for so many. When you venture back to Alloway you'll have to check out the Alloway tunnel. We discovered it by accident in January. There's a path across from the burns centre, down a small slope, that leads you to the tunnel. It's filled with "amusing" graffiti. Apparently, the people behind the Colinton tunnel are going to do the same with it. It's worth a walk and look.

If you look closely at the Glenfinnan viaduct the Mallaig end is slightly higher than the Fort William end so the engine has to work hard on the way out but the return trip is downhill at that point. Another great way to watch the train is to get one of the cruises from Fort William that will chase the train along the coast (for a short bit, it can't keep up).

What a wonderful Saturday night this has been, got a smart tv today and can hook up my computer via bluetooth and your video has never looked so spectacular, love the bridges and the views where stunning, well it is Scotland so they would be. To answer why was there a diesel tacked on to the rear of the train on the viaduct I believe it is a safety precaution just in case the steam train should break down, I have seen a few heritage rail videos and they all seem to do this. Lovely to see you both in this video and I wish you both good health, till next time stay safe and cheers.

BTW, re. our conversation about Tuscany, we drove through lovely Longniddry in East Lothian yesterday on the way back from beautiful Gullane beach (western end of the beach near the rocks is seashell heaven for a beachcomber like Alicja) and as we entered the village there was a sign saying "Twinned with Barga, Italy"! Another former South Queensferry resident here, just along the road at Linn Mill !! Once while visiting the newsagent in the High St, I literally bumped into Jim Kerr lead singer with Simple Minds, who also lived in the village !! Sadly never bumped into a certain SM he was probably busy with his Go Pro !! That was some driving weekend, must have been over 500 miles, just as well you didnae walk it..... like the Proclaimers !! Groan, oh my goodness they get worse !! Enjoyed the vid you guys.....thank you !!👍😂

I wish I could tell you how much vicarious pleasure I have watching your very cleverly themed videos! Thank you so much! When I saw the Brig O'Doon, I had an ah-ha moment when I realized it was the name of the fictitious place (Brigadoon) in the US musical "Finian's Rainbow" (How Are Things in Glocca Morra" and all that). The musical was from 1947 (the year I was born!), and a movie of it with Petula Clark was made in 1968. More useless information....our high school staged the musical when I was a senior (1965) and I played Susan, the deaf girl. How's that for TMI? Again, thank you and Alicja for another well-recorded, well-planned, and well-directed video!

Brilliant AGAIN Steve. Absolutely loving your video's - Brings back many fond memories of Scotland - Glenfinnan, Ballachiulish, Glencoe, - and Ayr. AND the Falkirk Wheel. ( you missed the kelpies lol) . Brings back fond memories of my late mother in law , who we toured all the places you visited with in this video. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thanks for another excellent video. Alloway was beautiful, but South Queensferry will always be my favorite place! Like you, Steve, I've lived there and enjoyed the best years of my life while teaching in the local primary school. Seems so long ago - and I guess it was!

Well done Steve & Alicja, your drive brought back good memories of our driving tours of Scotland. I’m looking forward to our rail tour this July which will start in Edinburgh along the West Highland Line and up to Inverness back to Edinburgh via Perth! 😊

One of my favourite currency related anecdotes is the bridges on the Euro where just made up by an artist... Then the Dutch built them in real life as a tourist attraction 😅

Fun theme but you must love driving! I also walked over the brig o doon and got the same shots. You should park at the amazing NTS burns centre for the full experience. You got good shots of the train but I think its a better picture when the train is going the other way. The diesel train might be there on dry weather days when there is a fire risk. I think there were dry warnings in the Highlands over Easter. What happened to the £500 note - is there one? Great scenery as always and no rain! Great video.

Cheers Allan! Aye, agree about the train! Ohhh I wonder if they still issue £500s?

Another terrific video doc of Scotland. Thank you. I have not handled Scottish notes for almost 30 years so these long ago issued notes I had no idea. Suppose I expected Forth, Tay, Clyde (Erskine and Anderson). Cromarty, and Kyle. So I was disappointed the Bank had omitted many and included a viaduct and wheel, which in my humble opinion are not bridges.

When my wife and I visited Scotland in 2019 we took a tour of the Firth of Forth by boat that left from South Queensferry very close to where you were, and we visited the Falkirk Wheel, so your video brought back some great memories. We saw the Kelpies in Falkirk too, very impressive!

Have I told you two how much I love your videos? I think I have 😊. Every time I watch one, there is another place I have to add to my list for my next visit! ( at this rate, I’ll need to stay at least a month!). I will look forward to the one with the Falkirk Wheel-I ran out of time to see it on my last trip to Scotland. Thank you for creating these videos! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
